This may be useful to those with limited space for appliances - This is my smoothie making set up: just a 1.5 liter HEAVY glass cylinder jar (Weck 974) & a powerful immersion blender (this one is a Braun Multiquick). Easy to store, wash, and (usually) less expensive than a powerful blender. #kitchen

Maypo Ragu, NYT recipe by chefs David Chang & Tien Ho, adapted by Sam Sifton. Slight modifications: spinach instead of kale, maple syrup instead of brown sugar (I’m lazy / it was handy), brown rice noodles instead of rice cakes bc Whole Foods didn’t have. Added some peanuts on top. Delish!

If you’re on the fence about getting cataract surgery, just do it! It’s one of the coolest things if you’ve had glasses all your life. It didn’t hurt (I’m the biggest wimp when it comes to pain). Just find yourself an experienced doc w good reviews.
