So much awfulness within the hierarchical @churchofengland.org. Jay's experience is awful and there are so many other stories that could be told. We have to get better at understanding that people with power will usually protect themselves at the expense of others. #CofE

Evenin’ boost! 💫 I think I am actually gonna try kicking off July with a general tarot reading for the month-ish! 👀 I realized today the main card deck I use (I prefer Lenormand tarot!) I have had and been reading for a full 25 years now. No wonder they always feel so RIGHT to read for me!

As you can imagine it's been a difficult few years for me. I won't be online a lot over the next few days (obviously) but if you're a praying person please do keep everyone affected by this in your prayers. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Deliberately disconnecting from all the work stuff going on this weekend. Next weeks going to be a lot, so savouring the down time. So…going through my latest Magic The Gathering card pulls…

Since when was it normalized to ask for work meetings on a Saturday or Sunday?? I know I don't have a typical job, and have the occasional training day on a Saturday...but an hour meeting?? Really??

The face of a husband who is was told by a lovely immigration employee to waiting in the lobby while they have their immigration interview…

Toddler and I are fighting with foam swords. I’m winning. He then says: “Stop! Snack break” He goes, eats a Wotsit, then has a burst of energy and launches a counter attack. What is he? An anime protagonist?!?

Okay…must be serious as they called me up, and got an appointment within 2 weeks of today… That…okay that’s not quietly alarming me at all…

Training this weekend, and I’m leading the devotional side of it. Rewriting some existing liturgy within that to A. More gender neutral language for God and B. Less triggering language for survivors.

Somewhat rough day with the Dr’s. Should have realised when they said “I’m going to step out and consult with a few colleagues about this.”

Whole day in London today. Went in to do some recording for work; ended up having a couple of meetings, some blessed catch ups, some good food, and a lotta walking around listening to a good book.

Hi. I'm Tim. I'm on my second home made matcha of the day and very much enjoying it.

Day in London working. On the last train home now. Tomorrow we’re doing the last push to sort the house out, immigration papers are going to be sorted, and then maybe…sleep?

Sometimes living life is just listening to a techno remix of Gregorian chanting in the car; dancing and rocking the car while the 3 year old questions what on earth their parents are doing.

I’m Game! (Pun Intended!)

Last day of TOIL before I’m back at work tomorrow. Spent the day waiting for a phone call (it’s not happened yet…at time of typing this) and playing with Dinosaurs with the toddler.

Child: Daddy, I want to see the Tommy Saurus with the velociraptors and the Indy raptor. Me: Proceeds to build the enclosure, put all of them in, and let’s the Child just watch them living. (We’re playing Jurassic World Evo 2…)

Me, hours later, thinking back on today; suddenly realising: My brother’s fiancé told me they haven’t seen or read LotR. I mean…good thing I didn’t react at the time as I was driving…

Last two weeks have been hard, and I didn’t really know or realise how much it impacted my mentally until I was away with colleagues this week. Thankful for them checking in with me, giving me the space to talk, them saying “That’s a lot”, and the space to just be present.

On Train 1 of the day. Was nice and chilled…then the sudden worship music started playing…

Note to parents of small children. It’s perhaps *not* a good idea to feed them Dinosaur Nuggets… The toddler, upon seeing baba cut the head of the stegosaurus off and dunk it in ketchup, went “Oh No Daddy! Baba killed my dinosaur.”

Me, dyes my hair. My toddler, upon seeing it: “Oh my gosh Daddy” with a *lot* of implied sarcasm. Keep me humble buddy!

Today was a rotten day. That’s all.

Always good to know that the toddler, at 9:30 in the evening, was happily telling us to “Hear the children.” There was no children. Should we be concerned? 🤣

Middle of Campaign Prep. Well…is a small pile, but here’s where we’re at right now(!)

You know there is a *weird vibe* going around today when even the neurotypicals are picking up on it…

Start of #Drakkenheim Campaign: Playing a creepy masked Jester who is also an assassin. 22 sessions in: Same character, but wearing a full albino ratling assassins creed outfit, had tongue slough out, and limbs are elongated. I’m basically Slender Man…

Things your toddler says: The Devil isn’t here! It’s in the IceCream Van!! (This is in response to the ice cream van not stopping in our estate..)

Session 0 of a new campaign: Done! I’m so flipping excited!! The character ideas sparking more campaign ideas within my brain, not to mention the wider exploration of faith and exploring shadow-self within that! I’m….can’t fully express how much excitement I have right now!!

Child woke up angry this morning. When ask why, he went “Daddy, I’m angry at the world.” Same child, same.

Things not expected to have happened today: Sitting in a conference room, staring at a chair and working out how it fits together. Why was I doing that? Because the back detached fully from the base as I leaned on it. I’m fine. I’m surprised at my dexterity to not cause injury, expect to pride!!

Heading down to London Town today for work. I get back with plenty of time to vote as well!

Work went well today. A long day full of peopling…and leading worship to a room of preachers and worship leaders. I’m…going to lie down in a dark room and listen to Dave Tomlinson reading.

I’m going to call it now, but having just written up meditations and reflections for a Worship Leading and Preaching event (as a non-Worship Leader and Preacher). I’m going to guess the reception will be…passive discontent, perhaps!

I wish that, on occasion, there was a section at the end of some forms that would allow comments to be made about the form you just filled in. For example: Asking a question around if someone tries to stand were it is social norm to continue to sit is a bit of a joke of a question IMO!!
