This sort of support is not just a negative reaction against two-party dominance, as the media keeps saying about the 2022 result. It is a positive move to get more responsive governance.

The ABC is so corrupted by years of rightwing whiteanting that this sort of biased framing is where we are at. On purpose or instinctive? Who knows, but it needs to be called out.

I spoke to Richard Watts on 3RRR about the craven decision by Creative Australia to dump Khaled Sabsabi from the Venice Biennale, and why Creative Australia's boss Adrian Collette should now resign www.rrr.org.au/shared/broad...

First party to find a way to dump AUKUS wins the election. Australians don't want to be part of the Trump Reich

This was a good discussion. Lalor has been impressive in responding to the attacks on him

Tonight on Spin we're joined by Peter Lalor, who was recently told by SEN that his commentary would no longer be required after sharing posts relating to Gaza. Plus: Cairo Takeaway, the caravan, Khaled Sabsabi, and what it means for media more broadly www.rrr.org.au from 7pm, or podcast tmw

It’s untenable, surely? Should be a huge election issue.

Great democracy we’ve got, ugh

Our politicians aren’t stupid. They’re captured. But of course, if you never criticise them, and keep voting for them, everything should work out fine.

People keep worrying about Trump closing down the media, but why would he? He has them on a string. Less a fourth estate than an enabling estate.

"It's just a distraction" is the go-to response when people want to prioritise. Understandable. It sounds super smart and informed, but it is really bad advice. Trump no longer has to flood the zone with shit; he is flooding it with stuff he really wants to do and believes. Nothing is a distraction.

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly laughed out loud. And then I saw that Clive Palmer had joined a party called Trumpet of the Patriots and that everyone suddenly remembered that Monty Python image."

Unsurprisingly, Dutton has pulled a disappearing act since the rate cut and left the task of explaining why it's a bad idea to his deputy and shadow treasurer.

Those were the days
