I’ll be making a few more sets of pattern weights for the Etsy shop in the coming weeks. Last round had requests for Nature/Cottage/WitchCore sets, along with fandom and sewing themed. I’ll stop making them once my supply of marble pieces runs out so taking suggestions for the last run.

Was planning to get started on holiday cookies today. Teen wants to bake for school as well. I did not set out NEARLY enough butter last night to come to room temp for both of us and all these butter heavy recipes. Thank goodness I stocked up last time I caught it on sale.

Today is one of those days when I really wish I was a better artist with pencil and paper. I have a costume concept I've been trying to work on for ages and I keep getting stuck designing it on paper. Guess it's back to the old draping, pinning and manipulating the fabric till I like something.

I was making too much food for 6 on Thanksgiving, so scaled back the meal plans that day. Which means TODAY I’m making deviled eggs, filled cupcakes and maybe a baked Brie. Gotta add some variety to the leftovers.

I have all sorts of tricks to combat arthritis in my hands for sewing and stuff. But what can a person do when feet are arthritic?? I’ve having some pretty strong pain days and am allergic to NSAIDS. Any suggestions for managing things on a heavy cooking day?

So very, very tired and sore. But Thespian Districts is over, 800-1000 teens a day fed and wrangled. Our troupe hosts each year and the kids worked so hard and were amazing. My thespian earned Superiors in all their events, is exhausted and very proud.
