There have been a bunch of people following me lately, presumably those moving from Twitter, where I've posted primarily about Unreal Engine and our documentation efforts. Here on Bluesky, I'm only posting personal projects and Trek-inspired things. Hope there's no disappointment in that. πŸ˜‰

This may be helpful for you new followers. You can block every single person on these lists. Just click on the subscribe button and it will give you the option to block every one on it. Here’s the first: bsky.app/profile/did:...

Star Trek DS9 Hero Prop: I realize I've not shared this one in any great detail. It's a Jem'Hadar double bladed weapon used on DS9. The longer blade has a spring so that it can retract as it's pushed into another object. Made of metal and acrylic bits and hand painted detailing.

New addition of a Roddenberry Klingon Bat'leth to my collection! Roddenberry, com only made 500 of these. Can pretty much guarantee I'll request this to be buried in my tomb with me and all my other Trek things πŸ˜„

Today's project was finishing a replica of the Defiant's dedication plaque from DS9. I took an Eaglemoss (scaled replica) and repainted it, and I applied it to a metal backplate. The original can be seen in the last pic.

Recently cleaned up and painted this Bajoran Gavel from the DS9 episode "Dax". Compliments my desk at home quite well. πŸ˜€

My general manager from back in my days of working at a movie theater has been going through his many tubes of old movie posters from the 1970s through the 2010s. He kindly gifted me the Generations and Undiscovered Country advance posters. Pretty sure he'll have other Trek posters too! Love these!

Absolutely absurd, but added this to my collection of things I'll be buried with because my family won't know what the fuck to do with any of it. πŸ˜…

I was planning to bring the small one to work to add more decoration to my desk area, but I sat it on top of my car while getting my kid situated this morning. πŸ™ƒ I hope if someone finds it in my neighborhood or by the road, they wonder just what the fuck it is and try to decipher it. πŸ˜†

Star Trek DS9 Prop Replica: This is my second version of this stand. Rick Berman posted this pic of The original a while back. This is still WIP but I feel good about the layout and pieces matching close enough to the original for my tastes.

Star Trek DS9 Prop Builds: Trying my hand at some replicas using direct transfer film. I made a large and small version of the Ferengi Commerce Authority sign that Brunt used to shut Quark's bar down. Then, I made some Niners and Logicians baseball penants from "Take me out to the holosuite".

Non-Trek Prop Build: This past weekend I upgraded the look of my Regal Movie Theater Ghostbusters ghost trap popcorn bucket (That's a mouthful!) Took it all apart. Repainted it. Added some weathering & paint chipping (probably too much though!) First pic is the original and then all my "upgrades."

After nearly a year, I'm finally starting to decorate and organize some of the wall space around my desk. Lots of screen used and production-made #StarTrek props in this shot. My most recent acquisition is one of Rene Auberjonois' Odo prosthetics.

Rene Auberjonois' (ODO on Star Trek DS9) wife recently found some items of his and placed them up on eBay. This includes some screen-worn ODO masks that he kept along with some extra ears from his masks being sold. Money goes to a charities he supported! www.ebay.com/itm/33527156...

Been a while! Star Trek DS9 Prop Builds: Starting to paint and finish some of the Wadi Chula game pieces from the episode most DS9 fans love to hate on "Move Along Home."

Alright forget it, I miss making game stuff too much. I'm gonna throw myself back out there for games and maybe small engine repair. If anyone wants a free consultation for the Unreal project, hit me up. I'm a tools specialist so whatever your problem, I'll get you unstuck.

Custom Trek Ornaments Collection: Picked up a shadow box so I can display all my custom Trek ornaments year round that I've made over the last couple of years. With the exception of art for the Buck and Nog ornaments and the models for Satan's Robot and the racket, I've made the rest completely.

Star Trek Prop Project 3D Print: Self-sealing Stem Bolt Successfully printed my model and tested with both open and closed states.

Star Trek 2023 Ornament Complete! Voyager Bionueral Gel Pack After a month and a half of tinkering here and there, I've completed my 2023 run of custom Trek ornaments, having made 23 in total. It's not the most complex one I've made, but it has required a lot of experimentation to get it right.

New Star Trek Project WIP: I felt inspired recently by @crashtesterx.bsky.social's post on the Stem Bolt from Lower Decks. I've wanted to build up one of these for a while, but the original is pretty plain in terms of physical details, and I wanted to try something a little different. πŸ™‚

From my Star Trek Collection: VFX Isolinear Chip as seen in DS9's "One Little Ship." The scene, the VFX concept art, and the chips. For scale reference the red/orange one is actual size. The large green one is a replica made by a friend (~3.25"), and the blue is an original from the VFX shot.

Star Trek 2023 Ornament progress: Voyager Bioneural Gel Pack In the final stretch now! The first two are built and just need their hangers added. Now to repeat this at least 20 more times. πŸ˜…

Original Star Trek Movie Props: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Bosun's Whistle For a brief time, I owned this original prop (as confirmed by Richard Coyle the original propmaker). It was a little dirty and missing a decal. The LEDs still worked too. Sadly, I no longer own this prop.

Star Trek 2023 Ornament progress: Getting closer to finished with the Voyager Bionueral Gel Pack ornament. Rods installed and resin coats applied to outer and inner parts. First coats of paints applied to top and bottom bases.

My 3D printed projects: Nacelle sucker from Star Trek Lower Decks! Printed in a nice clear blue resin. These are a great addition to any Eaglemoss Star Trek ship. Thanks to @geektoylove.bsky.social for this model to work with.

My Star Trek Collection: Piece of the worm hole planet hell used for the VFX background composite in Deep Space Nine's premiere episode "Emissary". Made of painted foam and came with two mini figures (from Innerspace playsets) used for scale.
