Trump exploits weakness. In his first term, he hit us with tariffs, and he’ll do it again if we seem desperate. Britain should secure a stronger deal, like a new UK-EU Customs Union, to protect our economy and ensure we deal with him from a position of strength.

If you don’t like what Trump is doing in America don’t let Nigel Farage do it here - take action - join the Liberal Democrats today: libdems.org.uk/join

Sorrywhatpardon?

This seems to have a bot of traction. I was as surprised as anyone to find this out www.bbc.com/news/article...

No pothole money for #Sheffield www.facebook.com/share/GsNPxd...

Well done to Chris for a huge swing from Labour. This result shows that where we work, we can win people’s trust & their votes - even in the red wall. It’s vital for liberals to hold Labour to account, provide strong opposition, & ensure we don’t cede this ground to others.

Let’s get people out of cars in #Sheffield *checks notes* by putting Tram fares up by a whopping 15%

Today is white ribbon day. It’s part of a global campaign to end male violence against women and girls. To be an ally to women as a man is to hold other men and boys accountable for their behaviours that could lead to violence against women and girls. #WhiteRibbonDay

Despite poor weather this Weekend the #Sheffield Lib Dem team have been campaigning for local Residents in Woodhouse and Handsworth

I’m a new migrant from Twitter. And next week I’ll publish on why, how and when Britain should apply for EU membership. #Brejoin

This morning’s winter wonderland in Sheffield

Try getting booted off a train to Manchester from Sheffield despite having reservations because it was full and get on the next one, then that was full too …. Upgrades who needs them up here?

Really interesting report from @livingstreets.bsky.social that shows pedestrianised town centres have higher sales. Pedestrians spend more money in local shops than people arriving by car. You only have to look at towns and cities in the Netherlands to see this in action.

You know the drill …

UK growth has slowed to just 0.1% after growing for six months. The Chancellor Rachel Reeves has said growth is key to funding the repair of Britain’s crumbling infrastructure. You know what would really boost growth? Frictionless trade with the EU…

Out in Woodhouse again - the perfect antidote to the noise across the pond

The poorest within our society is about to be that little bit more out of pocket thanks to this Labour Government. We need them to go back to the table and support the people they pledged to represent when elected back in July.

Out with the team in Woodhouse

First post here and what an amazing day out on the doorsteps doing postal vote knock up for Willis!

The European Union’s greenhouse gas emissions fell 8.3% in 2023 as a surge in renewable energy installations helped displace coal.

Council tax bills to rise by £100 as cap frozen

Ed Davey asks if Keir Starmer will seize frozen Russian assets to help fund Ukraine's fight against Putin, if the US pulls support from Ukraine #PMQs

Families across the UK will be worrying about the damage Trump will do to our economy with his damaging tariffs and record of starting trade wars. Fixing the UK’s broken relationship with the EU is even more urgent than before.
