One gigantic, looooong gust of wind sets the house creaking. No wind before or after. Chatty social media type post test #6

Our new FBI director. Congrats America!

If I had a band or a label, I would do a punk cover of "No More Kings" from Schoolhouse Rock. And then I would gather a bunch of people to write a whole album of next-generation Schoolhouse Rock songs, with songs about Social Security and Medicaid and NOAA. I am not kidding in the least.

Chatty social media post test #5 or so: I played the digital deckbuilder Death Roads: Tournament for a bit. It suffered on my Steamdeck, to put it mildly. The game didn't click for me and there was stuff I never figured out (why change gears?) but I will say this for it:

I got suckered into buying a Canvas phone-holding lamp thing. It is a frustrating thing to use: my phone barely fits in the holder, it's tippy with the weighted base, all the tightening bits get untightened whether I want 'em to or not. I like it when it works, though, and wish I could keep it.

Took my old 'beater' SUV out in the snow and spun it around and did non-extreme snow things. It somehow isn't as fun as it used to be. Unimportant Test Post #3

I can't talk about Watership Down without tearing up. I can't even say the title. Useless social media test post #2

A little over a week is left to take part in the Resistance! FIVE complete DRM-free ebooks can be yours for $12.95! #GreyRanksRPG is our contribution to #BundleOfHolding - a #TTRPG about youth resistance in Nazi-occupied Poland.

Fuckity fuck fuck, I just realized that I hadn't backed up my laptop since early last year. My work drive was getting backed up automatically, and that's the important thing, but it'd be mighty inconvenient to not have the basic drive ready to be cloned off to another computer just in case.

If you are curious about Grey Ranks, or want a deal on a bunch of fine games about resisting authoritarian regimes, there's a Bundle of Holding that may interest you! bundleofholding.com/presents/Res...

My review of @timhutchings.bsky.social's beautiful game of archeology, the passage of time, and what we lose to history, is still competing in the Bloggies. This round will determine if it gets a place in the finals, which is more than I'd ever hoped for! Vote, for me, for the other guy, but do it.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro's full post ordering an increase of import tariffs on U.S. goods, says he doesn't really like traveling to the U.S. because it's “a bit boring” and invokes the ancestors

Vote for my review of Thousand Year Old Campfire by @timhutchings.bsky.social, an amazing game of archaeology and what is lost to time. It's a piece I'm very proud of. I would love to make it to the next round.

As an Indian, as someone who lived in Egypt, and who has, modestly, remained committed to my politics despite that, here are my rules for living under fascist regimes: 1) Focus on organizational structure. 1/
