Kind of transitional between Dr. Savannah and Kid Creole, with more female vocals and not quite as lush as some later stuff, but still the hallmarks of the sardonic dance/R&B/big band groove Darnell and friends would occupy for years. :)

A collaboration with the late Angelo Badalamenti (d. 2022). Its main flaw, along with a track that does stick out like a sore thumb, as the notes say, in the context of the record, is that it's sadly brief at 35 minutes. Even the bonus track doesn't bring it to 40 minutes.

Welsh trio, 1980. The liner notes describe it as 'music for introverts'. It is certainly very minimal and quiet, if not very soothing. A drum machine that makes Suicide's 1977 efforts sound like John Bonham. :)
