2/2 So, it's looking like max two gigs in a week and quite possibly only one (depending on nature of the gig). I need to sit - can no longer stand for that long - and travel is an issue. Be interesting to see how venues respond/are able to respond. Next up, the Garage in Islington

Thanks. Nah, not so bad. Somewhat unexpected, and would have been good to know earlier, but we are where we are

Hope it goes well for you. My experience of chemo, FWIW, was absolutely top notch. Sending positive vibes

Bought the equipment from a decent shop in SW London. Crucial thing, if you’re anything like me, is to find some nice knowledgeable folk in a shop that has a listening room. Then buy what sounds best. I didn’t spend a fortune. The stand we already had in the house - sheer chance it worked. Good luck

I did slightly to be honest. Just shows how easy it can be on these sites. Thanks for explaining. These things are especially difficult when it’s artists one has invested in heavily. All strength to you

I’m sure I do limit myself (Morrissey as just one eg) but, equally, I’m sure I own loads of stuff by folk who have very different views from mine (is all I was saying). In the end it’s personal tastes & I think you’re entirely right in taking such stuff seriously

If I only listened to music by people I agreed with, I’d be overly limiting myself. But, I’m interested, which of Cave’s political views were you referring to?

Ach, not a biggie Rod, but thanks. Had liver biopsy - never nice - followed by a long somewhat uncomfortable recovery, then follow up meetings with the trial team. All very tiring, but successful too, so no complaints from me. NHS doing great stuff. I'll listen to Ezra - always a good prescription

That's good to know Pete. They're as good as one might hope where disabilities are concerned, esp given the limitations the space places on them. And it was treat to be back in a venue I've been in many times before. Hoping you're well

Isn't it a phrase generally used either by those who know/understand little about policing, or those who are trying to push a particular ideological position?

You wouldn’t worry if you knew how cold the house is!

I certainly was. The best I saw, I think, was at Kings Head in Fulham. Wondrous
