Wildflower Homestead Quilt by Bonnie Lewis, This quilt was designed by ladies from a quilt guild in Missouri and featured in Quilters Newsletter magazine in Nov. 1997 #Quilting #Sewing #Quilt #Pattern #Quiltsky

Version 2 of Block 5 of East Meets West BOM. This is hand pieced using English Paper Piecing. The fabric is some very inexpensive Chinese themed fabric. I'm having to be quite careful with the fabric as it's cut in strips, jelly roll style.

Block 5 of East Meets West BOM. This in the suggested fabrics from the designer, Alicia Armstrong of The Bramble Patch, my local shop.

Call me old fashioned but I like the idea of MPs representing their constituents and UK newspapers being owned by people who live in the UK. This new fangled lark of spending half, or all, your time abroad just doesn’t cut it with me.

A folded fabric Christmas Wreath all ready for Christmas 2025! Equilateral triangles stitched together and then cunningly folded, then stitched together. Think I will put a fake candle in the middle.

Log Cabin quilt "Message of love"- main body completed after more ripping/sewing and loss of one block and a frantic search of the entire house. I saw a quote today in a book I was reading: "Art is how we process the things we can't say out loud." That summed up this project for me. 💙

The stranded Colourwork on my current hand-knitted. Baroque Pullover by Nikolett Corley Design (available on Ravelry) Courway is deep pink Cathetine Wheel by local indie dyer Riverknits and grey from Yarnsmiths for Woolwarehouse.com. I like it! #knitting #stranded #indiedyer

I made up these two cushions over the weekend. They are from a pre printed panel, designed to allow Free Motion Quilting practice. Too pretty to just put in a drawer so I made a couple of cushion covers. Borders and back panels were scrap fabrics. (I have too many cushions!) #quilting #sewing.

A little journal quilt, A4 in size, based on the dry stone installation by the Borrowdale Banksy. Rather a lot of machine stitching to secure the tiny fabric pieces. This is a kit from Hannah's Room.

East Meets West Block of the Month for December. Hand pieced using EPP method. It is square. My photography skills are poor!

He’s done! Just in time to send him to his new home for the holidays.

George Callaghan. Irish born artist. Thanks for looking. Back Tomorrowith more. Helen 🎄🤶📚

The current Gregg Wallace report is an alleged celebrity misbehaviour story. Important to investigate and be resolved but surely not top of the news.

He’s finished! I love embroidering a tabby. 🪡 🧵

Quilt of the day!My version of Xing pattern by Bonnie Hunter

My knitted Nativity on display at a local Care Home. My MiL lived here, very happily, for many years. The background is not so pretty as it's all health and safety stuff! I made all of this apart from 2 of the camels.

“To quilt is to put your hand on tomorrow.” One of the greatest examples I have is a baby quilt made in 1842 for my husband’s gr-grandfather by the baby’s grandmother Verena Furler---who died 2 months before the baby was born. Verena was born in 1775 but her hand --- her stitches touch today.

This Labour Government is going to become even more unpopular with the general public if they don't stop the terrible communication. Starmer's response to the petition and Reeves' promises around tax are wrong and unnecessary. Do the right thing at the right time, rule nothing out and sort the comms

Hi, everyone ! My name is Marissa. I’m a quilter who also just happens to be a vascular surgeon. I make a lot of #sciart - like this aorta quilt I keep in my office. I love EPP, coffee, and making things fit together when it looks like they won’t. ❤️🥰😷 #quiltsky #medsky

Some favorites. The quilt is a Jittery Wings pattern, Lola and Sadie are my quilt room sidekicks. Is there a #dogsky? #quiltsky

Growing steadily. #knitting

Well it's a horrible day so I've wrapped up the Christmas gifts and made the parcels for the post.

Giant vase of flowers. Quilt about 8ft by 9.5ft. One of the hardest ones I’ve done as not easy to quilt

I absolutely love the night sky, I’m in awe evert time I look up. This was taken at Lake Vrynwy in mid Wales. 30sec f/2.8 ISO1600 #photography #wales

Couple of my more recent foundation paper pieced wall hangings. A bit obsessed with the process.

Here's a quilt I made based on the the 2023 wonderfil BOM. I made the FPP flowers half size and turned them into hexies. The overall design is my own. I love to give my projects a twist and mix lots of techniques. #quilt #EPP #FPP #embroidery

Adding some of my past quilts hoping to find quilty friends: this was a cat quilt for my daughter. She helped pick out all of the fabrics. I quilted it on my domestic machine and I like how the simple crosshatch sort of echoes the checkerboard pattern from one of the fabrics. #quiltsky

Wool applique on flannel quilt I made a couple years ago.

A moment of joy in soft form.

Just passed the gritter called CTR SALT DELETE and I think we have a winner

So happy! Quilt came back from longarmer and I’m delighted with how the pattern worked. #quiltsky

I make things with fabric and thread. Currently making this thing. #dearjanequilt

Nice evening's work. #knitting

The joy of baking. Simple. Satisfying.

Waterfall II quilt.. I finally have this all sandwiched together but I’m kind of stuck on how to quilt it without affecting the 3D illusion (zigzaggy edges have been trimmed since this pic was taken)

Okay, where are all my #quilting and #sewing people at?!

In case you didn't know, the aurora is not always green :)
