Your mission, should you choose to accept it: vote for your favorite Cemetech graphing calculator software project of 2024: www.cemetech.net/news/2025/1/... . You have plenty of options, including games, programming tools, math apps, and shells.

Sadly my Shannara product idea has expired, but it's not too late to support Lego Bill & Ted.

Fun numbers

2024 ended strong: Cemetechians worked on calculator, computer, and hardware projects in December 2024, from an on-calculator ez80 ASM IDE to math and 3D graphing tools to a TI-84 Plus-turned-art. See them all and vote for your favorite: www.cemetech.net/news/2025/1/...

Happy New Year!

Went for a hike today!

Been working on this project for a while and it's finally finished! Go check it out :) youtu.be/NMa8z7aW-Sg

Merry Christmas!

I recently finished documenting a project to identify handwritten digits directly on the TI-84 Plus CE. Draw digits with a mouse, and in 18 seconds, a CNN running on the ez80 CPU classifies them. Video (excuse the clickbait title): youtu.be/olcZdTRdnQg ; technical details: z80.me/blog/calcula...

I turned this broken TI-84 Plus into some kind of art! I've seen people do this with other tech online and I thought it would be fun to design something myself. More details on Cemetech: ceme.tech/p309747

It's here!

Justice Hyperdrama concert livestream was awesome! Really hope to see them live in person some day!

I've completed "Restroom Redoubt" - Day 14 - #AdventOfCode 2024! This was another fun one to visualize, especially part 2!

I've completed "Claw Contraption" - Day 13 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode! Just some math today, I found it a lot easier than some of the previous puzzles

Finished Day 12 of #AdventOfCode on the TI-84 Plus CE calculator! Had to move the stack to a different RAM location since it wasn't handling the recursion well, but in the end I got it and the visualization looks super cool! Code on GitHub as well: github.com/TIny-Hacker/...

Got stuck on yesterday's #AdventOfCode so I took a break and worked on today's instead (I'll revisit 9 later though). Turns out the bug in my part 1 solution was just the part 2 solution which made it quite easy!

Day 8 of #AdventOfCode was a lot of fun and much faster of a solve (in both writing the program and execution) than yesterday's! Here's another accidental visualization from using VRAM for a map, but this time I didn't bother with changing the palette to something nice and just kept the default

Week 1 of #AdventOfCode 2024 on the TI-84 Plus CE done! Today put my patience to the test, I must've come up with the worst possible algorithm and it took me 7 hours and 45 minutes to run (part 2). Thankfully it worked on the first try, but I'll be a bit more wary of brute force in the future 👀

If you feel like we just posted a Projects of the Month, you're not wrong - but Cemetech's news editors were efficient with November 2024. Projects included games, math tools, a physics simulation, and even a shockingly powerful 3D renderer. November's projects: www.cemetech.net/news/2024/12...

Decided on making use of VRAM to store a map of the input for day 6 of #AdventOfCode on the TI-84 Plus CE. It ended up looking neat so I tweaked the colors a bit and ended up with a sort of visualization at the same time! Still have to do part 2, we'll see how that goes...

I've completed "Print Queue" - Day 5 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode Today's puzzle took me a bit longer. Wasn't necessarily that difficult but I made a lot of dumb mistakes (infinite loops, too small of integers, etc) which were annoying to track down

Spotify wrapped 2024 time!

Just completed day 2 of #AdventOfCode 2024! Solving on the TI-84 Plus CE like usual, whenever I happen to have free time to do a puzzle. Probably won't keep up and my code is a big mess but solutions here: github.com/TIny-Hacker/...

Any android users who want to beta test the bluesky notification app right now, DM me.

Hmmm this seems not great

New (and still-expanding starter pack) of TI calculator hackers (former & current).

Cemetech's Minecraft 1.21+ survival server will be launching tomorrow, October 12th, at mc.cemetech.net. Come explore and build bases, cities, and machines with Cemetech! www.cemetech.net/news/2024/10...

Do you need three sprite/icon editors, an ez80 assembly IDE, Sonic 2, or OCaml on your graphing calculator? These and many other projects are in Cemetech's September Projects of the Month: www.cemetech.net/news/2024/10...

It's been a few months and my LEGO Ideas Celeste (@exokgames.bsky.social) set is getting very close to 3000 supporters! At 10K LEGO gives it a chance to become a real set, but there's less than a year left for it to get there. Please consider voting for free to help: ideas.lego.com/s/p:ac89cbf0...
