Some of these facilities are not providing enough food, limited showering, no clothing, and little bedding. apnews.com/article/immi...

I don’t think mass deportation is what they voted for. Miami’s Hispanic Republicans push back on Trump’s mass-deportation agenda www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...

This Is How the Protests Could Break Trump’s Deportation Machine www.nytimes.com/2025/06/13/o...

The Department of Homeland Security is lying. @padilla.senate.gov identified himself. Urging everyone to go out and righteously and peacefully exercise your freedom of speech and assembly. That’s how we take back our country.

Senator Padilla was driven violently to his knees–as if made to kneel before the authority of the executive–because the administration called his questions “disrespectful”. This should offend not just the other 99 Senators. It should offend the conscience of this country.

If this is how this administration responds to a Senator with a question, you can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, and to day laborers throughout California and across the country. We will hold this administration accountable.

There are headlines galore on undocumented people being rounded up and deported. But, a larger problem is those who hold documentation are having it revoked. Haiti, Venezuela, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Cuba, and Cameroon have all lost some types of documentation. The USA can’t deport everyone.

apnews.com/article/trum... Haiti is neither an African country nor a Middle Eastern country.

I don’t find it surprising Trump’s manufactured immigration crisis is creating oppression and violence. First amendment rights to protest peacefully are met with military-laced escalation. I know I am the right side of history when I protest on June 14th. I do this to stand for those who can’t

We must defend those who are caught in the dragnet of absurd immigration policies.

Well said.

Trump Is Calling Up National Guard Troops Under a Rarely Used Law www.nytimes.com/2025/06/07/u... Trump had the idea of using National troops against its own citizens for a long, long time. I fear martial law is next.

The situation in Los Angeles is about to plunge us into a national emergency, except the people that normally solve national emergencies are the ones creating it.

And there you have it. ICE didn't target migrant workers in Kristi Noem's farms or Sarah Huckabee Sanders' meatpacking plants because they wanted to create a riot in LA as a pretext to declaring martial law. They don't care about undocumented migrants, they only care about controlling US citizens.

The White House aide even said that the LA stuff is an insurrection. It's one more step to him declaring martial law. He might want to think twice before making that move. I'm not sure our entire military is behind him.

I don't care if these monstrous ICE raids are a "federal operation". This is authoritarian violence, plain and simple. Just because Stephen Miller has kidnapping quotas for brown people he doesn't want to see on the street doesn't mean we have to think it's okay.

This is the cycle: raid, escalate, criminalize the response, send in troops. ICE raids are not neutral, they’re psychological warfare on communities, and now they’re using military backup. This isn’t enforcement. It’s state-sponsored intimidation.

Welcome to America, where protesting illegal kidnappings without due process is an insurrection, but attacking the nation’s Capitol is not.

Reminder that our Constitution guarantees due process to ALL persons — not just citizens — and enshrines habeas corpus as a fundamental right. Either everyone has due process — or no one does.

A perfect example of Trump choosing a violent solution to a problem he alone created. apnews.com/article/immi...
