Cora is a flake who lets her own perpetually-collapsing mental health hurt the people around her. She means no harm but someone could probably convincingly frame her as emotionally abusive. Sarah just kills a shitton of people. Civilians, children, she kills so many people dude (for love tho)

I joined a book club for A Quiet Universe cos I thought it'd be fun, and man, re-reading this book has me thinking about my ideas for a prequel following new characters again. Because it's a book that destroys its own social order, so much of the most interesting stuff about the setting vanishes.
