RFK JR on Measles Outbreaks just now: "It is not unusual. There are measles outbreaks every year." It is actually very unusual. This is the first Measles death in the US in 10 years.

Totally agree! Apparently there is talk of the King inviting him to Balmoral. No,no,no I will be one of many Scots I'm sure who will take to the streets in protest!

We don't say this enough! Hello to all or New Scots living and working in Scotland! Thank you for making Scotland your hame! #Scotland #Welcome

Train fares in Scotland are among the most expensive in Europe. The Scottish Parliament’s vote to keep peak rail fares is a hammer blow for commuters who deserve cheaper, accessible travel.

We should tax the rich, not cut foreign aid. Repost of you agree.

PM keeps saying cutting aid budget was a “hard decision”. Rubbish, it was an easy cowardly decision - those feeling impacts are 1000s of miles away & won’t trouble him. A harder decision might have been to stand up to vested interests who oppose a wealth tax - but it would’ve been right thing to do

Brilliant description of gardening for all not just those withADHD. “…in a garden more than anywhere, understand that life is about patience and that hiding in plain sight in the galaxy of distractions are countless little miracles you can lose yourself in:a mere snowdrop or the first yellow flower”

I feel very strongly that Musk should be removed as a fellow. I have no scientific credibility - I don't need any to see this situation objectively. I wish government and others would stand up to disgusting, dangerous behaviours which impact so many.

Totally agree. It is ridiculous to follow the USA action. What a mean, thoughtless action which will result in even more global conflict. @teamlabouruk.bsky.social are behaving just like @ukconservatives.bsky.social and that is definitely not what voters want. @sarahchampers.bsky.social

The Pitch Inspection’s latest report is out. Read it here ⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️

With the US now voting with Russia, Belarus and N Korea at the UN, this is a good time to read or re-read the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. Russia, UK *and US* made clear commitments to Ukraine in exchange for giving up its nuclear weapons. Six bullet points, read them. treaties.un.org/doc/Publicat...

“I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump.” All the best @marcelias.bsky.social

Brilliant but devastating editorial in the Financial Times. “In the past 10 days, he [Trump] has all but incinerated 80 years of postwar American leadership. If you are not at the table, you are on the menu. America has turned.”

Trump sank to new depths with his tirade of disinformation about President Zelenskyy. (Fact checker here: www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...) @eddavey.libdems.org.uk is right, all of the UK must stand firmly with Ukraine against Trump's dangerous propaganda, taken direct from Putin's playbook.

“Labour’s central mission should be not just faster growth but also fairer growth,” Never a truer word spoken by Harry Quilter-Pinner. Fairness is essential and spreading any growth equally. The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer is a recipe for disaster.

🚨FUN FACT: Pesticides have been banned from French towns and cities for almost a DECADE. Anyone else think the UK should do the same and help protect our pollinators?

Trump could have pushed for an end to the war in Ukraine without becoming actively hostile to Ukraine. Instead, he has imbibed Putin’s lies. Have written about the emergence of a new US/Russia axis, where it comes from and the staggering implications for Europe. open.substack.com/pub/goodalla...

Has Nigel Farage - or anyone from Reform - said whether they thinks Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a dictator yet?

In days like these it is worth remembering that: a) Russia invaded Ukraine, b) Russia had previously given security guarantees to Ukraine that it would not threaten or use military force or economic coercion. It's time for European leaders to stand with Ukraine. #SlavaUkraini

*extremely ‘I write editorial comment for the FT’ voice*. Completely agree with this and also feel like it’s in part a manifestation of how UK has turned inwards. Even much of the political class seems unaware of how important and significant all this is for UK prosperity and security.

The protests that have taken place this week have been utterly shameful. I am grateful to Police Scotland for acting quickly. Everybody deserves access to healthcare without harassment. That is why I introduced my Act, and why these disgraceful protests are now illegal.

This is completely and utterly wrong. Scotland stands with Ukraine. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇦

I hear Nigel Farage is declining interview requests. First time for everything, I suppose. I suspect he’ll eventually speak to whoever is least likely to challenge him properly.

Trump has now completely humiliated his apologists in the U.K. but not one of them will be honest enough to admit it.

Excellent,thanks Bob!

Source please!

“If Labour wants to rebuild trust, it must stop doing politics to people & start doing it with them.” In all aspects of government this should be applied, to varying degrees.

Absolutely agree with @johnswinney.bsky.social on all counts. However the reduction in energy costs must happen sooner rather than later. As someone who has ground source heat pump, solar panels, solar thermal and EV theoretically I should be saving money-I’m not but I’m trying. @scottishgreens.org

Some of the most shameful comments uttered by a president in my lifetime. Trump is siding with the aggressor, blaming the victim. In the Kremlin they must be jumping for joy. I’d like to hope Republicans, who used to believe in resisting tyranny, would disavow the things Trump is saying & doing.

The world's most powerful government have grossly misrepresenting what our Parliament voted for. It needs to be called out, and all parties should be united in challenging. I don't want to see my Act used for such scaremongering. www.thenational.scot/politics/249...

UK energy bills forecast to rise 5% from April. Add to this inflation-busting rises in water, phone, internet and more., people feel helpless. Can't grow economy with depleted household incomes. Must curb profiteering, impose windfall taxes. Ofgem protects companies, not people.

“Whilst the avoidance of environmental destruction and climate change must be the top priority of any sensible list, in the UK the alarming growth of inequality demands urgent attention” Excellent piece on growth - are we reaching our limit? @scottishgreens.org @greenparty.org.uk

Peaceful protest is a fundemental democratic right The decision in @libertyhq.bsky.social’s important case will affect all of us & is due any time now. This is why I’m standing shoulder to shoulder with them youtu.be/qk5aiRXRuU0?...

All the more relevant now

No Fionna I totally disagree with what you say. This is a brilliant piece by @lewisgoodall.com Chilling, accurate and should not be ignored. I listened to Vance’s speech with disbelief. Oh and he totally misrepresented the buffer zone bill in Scotland.

Thoughtful piece that exposes the hypocrisy Of Vance's Munich speech, well worth reading.

What an embarrassment for US citizens. The right to shout in the faces of people getting healthcare is a top global security issue for @JDVance 🤡🇺🇸

Quite amazing for the American VP to be giving lessons on liberty to Europeans while his boss bans the Associated Press from news briefings because it calls the Gulf of Mexico by its actual name.

JD Vance lied blatantly about the Scottish abortion clinic buffer zone law. It does NOT prohibit Christians from praying within their own homes.

Evergreen cartoon

Some of us listened!!

I am really shocked to hear this.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I thought that was the purpose of the committee stage - to scrutinise and ammend.

He Only owns tiny, tiny bits. I am so sorry his mother was Scottish. It gives me no pleasure that Trump is half Scottish.

Just asking but do tractors comply with ULEZ? Oh, now I’ve discovered they are exempt but not sure why.

"I call on my former colleagues – those who still believe in the values of integrity and justice – to refuse to be complicit. Do not rubber-stamp reports that whitewash crimes against humanity. This is not self-defence – it is collective punishment." What a brave course of action to take.

If Labour approves the Rosebank oil field, it would be the final straw for many of its green-minded voters. It might appease corporate power for a moment, but in doing so it will lose far more than it gains. The government seems to be on a self-destructive streak. Now's the time to rethink.
