Jeffries: hey the GOP controls the government, absolutely nothing i can do, gonna work on my personal book tour Sanders: brb i am going to personally barnstorm strategic GOP house districts and try to peel off 2 votes so we can block Trump's cuts to Medicaid www.commondreams.org/news/bernie-...

The next pope is going to be a complete conservative nightmare, isn’t he?

I love it when our nazi crackhead shadow president screams slurs at astronauts when they push back on his insane lies

Would be a shame if the plane didn't work.

A defiant Mayor Eric Adams, standing in front of a dozen elderly members of the clergy, gives a speech to the assembled media in which it gradually becomes clear that he believes all of the events that happen in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats "really happened, right here in New York."

I cheered for Canada the first time and will cheer for them again in the final. Nonzero chance I spend the second half of my life in Canada anyway.

“There are currently four people remaining over there to do the work of 15 people. The danger to the national airspace can’t be understated." "This is a very real threat to the American flying public.” EXCLUSIVE ⤵️

Bright passionate people who wanted to dedicate their lives to public service were fired in a mass email over the holiday weekend. This has absolutely nothing to do with efficiency, fraud, waste, or abuse. And your life will be worse because of it.

a good example of how the world is getting dumber. the new politico playbook writer didn't know who FDR was until a reader told him about that whole "new deal" thing. this newsletter is read by every important person in DC.

democrats won’t admit it, but my family’s economic outlook has gotten a LOT better since Trump took office. but what do i know? i don’t have a fancy economics degree, i’m just a regular guy who runs an airplane scrapyard

planes with dei: fly me to the moon and let me play among the staaars planes without dei:

Hey @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, are planes falling out of the sky regularly a fat enough pitch to swing at or are we gonna take that one for a strike down the middle?

Elon Musk's DOGE team of misfits have fired everybody at the Federal Aviation Administration ✈️ who is a probationary employee Thinking they have got rid of all the new hires It turns out many of these were experienced technicians, recently promoted and were on probation for their new senior role

so far going anti-woke leads to less money and planes falling out of the sky

Trump is blocking the Associated Press from the Oval Office. Rather than stand up for freedom of the press, the rest of legacy media is taking advantage of AP's absence. When this inevitably leads to AP cutbacks, the same legacy media will lament the plight of media decline.

Been saying this since Trump was inaugurated. Democrats need a full-on civil war to get those fools out of here and make room for people who actually want to fight.

And for the third straight day, the rest of the legacy media did nothing to stand up for the First Amendment. No boycott, no walkout, nothing but business as usual. Then, they wonder why people are canceling subscriptions and turning off their TV's while independent news outlets are thriving.

The first notable Democrat to come out publicly against the current inept party leadership and draw attention to their failures in a public way will be the 2028 nominee. If I’m Gavin Newsom, I’m taking that role. Seems like his lane to own. I don’t even love him but he has the right energy.

a maximalist strategy of opposition against every nominee as unqualified would have stood a better chance of creating the kind of public outrage that might have led to more republican defections, but i'm sure the imaginary family that chuck schumer relies on to guide his decisions disagreed

Oh what a shock! Trump didn’t go abra cadabra everything is 1990s prices again!

Look I agree that Elon Musk appears to be on a lot of drugs every time he appears in public. That's not very interesting to me. I'm more interested in how many drugs he can do at once. I think he could probably do more than anyone ever. I bet he could take way more than the doctors say is safe.

there is such a pathological fear among dem electeds of backlash that it leads them to basically do nothing

J.D. Vance has, in the past 48 hours, been dissed by both the President of the United States and the Pope. That's inner circle stuff, man. He's not even doing anything, really, and he's one of the most loathed pieces of shit in existence. Everything sucks terribly right now but I'm here for this.

This from @oliverdarcy.bsky.social is so accurate

Hitler's Audacious Plan to Concentrate Jews in Outdoor Skill Building Camps -Peter Baker, NYT

You need a PHD from MIT to understand NBA trades.

Okay, in this election you have the lady who wants to make the world incrementally better or the literal antichrist that will destroy everything you’ve ever known. “I WANT WORLD PEACE OR IM NOT VOTING!” That’s isn’t one of the options. “IM NOT VOTING!” 92 days later: “HOW DO WE STOP THIS?!!”

I would really love to see the NYT & WaPo treat the current political situation with even half the level of alarm they used last year in reporting that Biden was old

to celebrate the end of racism, the NFL has partnered with the estate of Don Imus so that fans can experience his takes on the state of american sports today through the magic of AI

Gonna guess the cost will not make sense for the Commanders at this point, but please call them and find out!

Democrats need their version of the Tea Party movement ASAP. These old white people who still think it's 1992 need to GTFO.

Good

Behind the chaos, a brilliant and savvy plan to end democracy in America.
