Two days ago, I was flying high with a major step forward in my life. Today, I was blindsided by an unexpected shift, which in the long run is going to help me achieve greater things, but it still stings a little. Trusting in my Higher Power, though, and remaining grateful. #recovery #sober

5 years ago, I was homeless because of my alcoholism. After numerous treatment centers and rehabs, I landed at the ARCH in Omaha. It saved my life. I am now 16 mos sober , a mentor to guys in the program, and today, I achieved something I never thought possible again. I bought a car! GRATEFUL!

God, grant me the serenity to accept there are people who aren't running on all cylinders, the courage to try and keep my cool whilst dealing with them, and the wisdom to not throat punch them and avoid an assault charge. Amen
