It has just now come to my attention that there are ZERO 1 pm ET games on MLB Opening Day this year and that just feels wrong.

What's it like for fans of baseball teams whose RSN's don't know how to have fun? Seems like a bummer tbh

If I'm being honest, I was hoping they'd wait until he either a) made the HoF, or b) fell off the ballot. But seeing as b) may well happen this year, I'll take it.

Spending my morning reacting to the Juan Soto news by recalling various low points in recent Mets history because having positive feelings about offseason acquisitions is still a relatively new experience

Ocean's Eleven (2001) Andy Garcia (Back on the old site I had a whole rundown of which Muppet is which character. I may have put too much thought into this.)

The only real surprise here is that my wedding song ("Love You For A Long Time") didn't make the cut. (In fairness, we used a custom-made edited version for our dance, so it makes sense)

Inside of you there are two wolves

I think my first one overall was ENTER THE DRAGON (fairly tame, all things considered). First one in theaters was THE MATRIX RELOADED. First one where I bought my own ticket is probably SUPERBAD? (Inconclusive, since I didn't start seriously tracking my film habits till I was in my 20s)

Let the record reflect that if Bluesky had the old MySpace music feature, I would a) hope it came with a "turn off autoplay" function, and b) have some Maggie Rogers greeting you when you visited my profile.

A Take: The Philly Phanatic is Gritty's Drunk Boomer Uncle and should be treated accordingly. [Thus concludes my baseball commentary for the night*] *probably not but worth a try.

Someone should remind Tom Brady that the Liberty Bell resides in Philly. #PHIvsNE

At the bar (for soccer, or so I planned) and they have sound on for TCU-Colorado. If I drink everytime the Fox commentators say "Coach Prime" will one of you drive me to the hospital?

I rarely (if ever) remember that Big3 basketball exists. But when I come across it I re-remember that it's actually pretty cool as both a professionalized version of schoolyard ball and an exercise in Guy Remembrance.

Note to self: find a new profile photo that isn't a) 5+ years old and b) doesn't have all the trappings of Angry RW White Guy On The Internet

Hey, look! A new place where I can scream into the void! (props to @tgk.bsky.social for the invite)
