Public discourse often outlines the issue as “right-wing populists are anti-science, progressives and liberals are pro-science”. It seems to be a bit more complicated here too - though no less threatening.

In this study, experiencing withdrawal symptoms when tapering antidepressants was associated with an increased risk of depression relapse. Withdrawal symptoms were common and more frequent in women.
