Learning about X-linked coloring of orange & calico/tortoiseshell cats, esp that "experiments showed that, somehow, the [5,076-base pair] deletion activates Arhgap36 in pigment cells, where it blocks production of black pigment so the cells produce orange instead." www.cnn.com/2025/05/23/s...
