On days like today I wonder: “What would Silverhand think about Musk?” He’d probably have a song called “Fuck Tesla!” Off the album “We burned down the wrong Amazon” #cyberpunk #2025

Honestly, I’ve just stopped listening to the talking points of those who support Nazis… I just oppose them, outright. I don’t have time to sift through all their extensive outrage to find something that I might agree with on some level. If it’s that bad, we’ll fix it after we deal with them

Elon would get a Nazi tattoo on his forehead if it would make people on the internet like him more.

The good news for me today is that much of the coming issues aren’t really going to effect me too heavily. The bad news is: a lot of people can’t say the same…

LOL they shadow dropped it 👏👏👏 youtu.be/itpcsQQvgAQ?...

So, if you’re wondering; Terry Pratchett is a great writer to obsess over. Same with Douglas Adams. Neither of them did anything horrifying.

If you’re worried that having enjoyed the content of someone who turned out to be an abuser means you unknowingly side with them remember: Legions of X-Men fans grew up to miss the point that it was about diversity and marginalization since day one. Because “guy with knife hands cool!”

When an artist is found out to be a bad person, has done bad things, or generally shits the moral bed, it’s good to remember: You’re not a bad person for having liked their work. You can withdraw your support without having to justify why you liked it.

I think it’s becoming increasingly important to reference aspects of fantasy gaming in fantasy novels. We grew up thinking someone in their right mind would just ask us to collect the ears of ten of the bandits, like a reasonable person. #gaming #writers combine!

The writers urge to begin every story with: “Seriously though, the second half of this story is amazing, if I could have started there I would have.”

A framed picture of the cover art for the first book I attempted to publish, back when the Nook couldn’t do color or heavy detail, so it looked like an old 8-bit title screen

New year, new existential dread.

Ever come back to a story you took a small break from and you find yourself surprised at a bit that you forgot you wrote and you there like: “Oh damn, where am I going with this?” Then you find you didn’t finish it? Anyway, that’s basically adult life.

If you were disowned by your parents over discussing politics on thanksgiving, just remember they’ll be asking you back once they have to figure out how tariffs work.

The movie #Wicked doesn’t interest me, so I’m not going to see it. I hope everyone it does interest goes and sees it and enjoys it. SEE HOW HARD THAT WASNT, #STARWARS FANS?!

To all my fellow people “stuck in an extended one shot hallway fight scene with anxiety, depression, guilt and fear” Remember that it sucks to do, to live through, and to recover from; but eventually you do get out of that hallway.

You know, based on current events, the protagonist in my next dystopian novels an anachronistic skill set is going to be just reading comprehension and critical thinking.

“How did you come to be a writer?” “Well, I hated writing in APA format, and it snowballed.”

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and remembered you wrote about 99% of a massive story in your head before bed… and now you can’t remember how it started? You may be entitled to compensation. #writerlife#thoughts#itslikemathhomework

Writing is easy when you realize you don’t have writers block, your characters just also have executive dysfunction and they also don’t know what to do.

Remember: it’s always good to get the fucking up done early in the day, that way it doesn’t surprise you later. #lifehack #adulting

Needed a place to discus writing things, as my hiatus from writing is at an end. Finally… #writing#RIAuthors#whynoIdontknowhowHashtagswork
