That time Nolinor performed a high speed low pass with gear up in their 737-2B6C(A). If you ever picture a 737 sounding like a fighter jet, this might be the closest you get to that in reality!

It's National Aviation Day in Canada! Canada is a nation with a lot of rugged terrain, which shows well in some of the designs created and built here. This Air Tindi Dash-7 on final at Downsview Airport is one such example, build by De Havilland, still used in the North regularly today.

Pete McLeod at 1600mm focal length (Nikon 800mm + 2x Teleconverter) banking back in for another low turn in his Extra 330 at his hometown show, Airshow London. In the upside down pass, it is possible to see the grassy ground through a reflection on the wing.

Can't think of a better time to share a Snowbirds image than now, what a goal and what a game - McJesus in Overtime! #4Nations #canvsusa

Today's #throwbackthursday is about the Patrulla Águila who celebrate their 40th anniversary this year! The Spanish aerobatic team first flew in 1985 and currently fly with seven CASA C-101 Aviojet aircraft. Pictured is the team with the red and yellow smoke at RIAT 2018.

Today's #MustangMonday post features a topside pass of the P-51D Mustang from the Michael Potter collection at Vintage Wings of Canada flown by Dave Hewitt. As far as Mustang paint schemes go, this is one of my favourites.

For those who love landscapes! Pictured, an aerial scene just south of Dagger Point on Flores Island, as seen from an Atleo River Air Service tour in British Columbia.

It's a snowy one out there, which has me looking back at pictures from the time I visited the National Air Force Museum of Canada in winter! At the time, they had just received this CC-115 Buffalo #115456 to add to their display.

The Canadian flag turns 60 today! Celebrating this milestone with the Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, The SkyHawks and their flag-borne parachutes. This is a team that I've seen jump in everything from sun to freezing rain! Do you have a Canadian flag picture to share? Quote and post!

Wishing all a happy Valentine's Day! Pictured are four hearts, done in four different ways, from four different demonstration teams - the RCAF Snowbirds, USAF Thunderbirds, Frecce Tricolori, and RAF Red Arrows. Which is your favourite?

The RAF Red Arrows Goose Formation, at the moment the solo jet crosses the smoke. Taken at Aero Gatineau-Ottawa during the Maple Hawk 2024 tour.

The Philippine Mars has landed for the last time in Pleasant Lake, Arizona. It will now be towed to Pima Air & Space Museum where it will join the many displays there. I hope to visit there one day. Fortunate to have been able to see it at its old home at Coulson Aviation in Sproat Lake!

"Waiting for Spring" Took advantage of the most recent snowfall in Toronto and found a nice fast moving creek with snowbanks. The hourglass shape was readily apparent out in the field. #snow #toronto #creek #river

It's #superbowlsunday so let's see those Superb Owls! Got a nice owl picture? Quote this post, use #superbowlsunday, let's see how many owls we can get throughout the course of the day in! Pictured, a lovely Snowy Owl basking on top of a manmade structure staring intently. #birds #owl #snowyowl

Anyone have the Need for Speed today? Pushed the upper limits of my equipment for this one - the CF-18 Demo Team jet high speed pass at night, with only a strobe light illuminating the vapour cone in the rain. Look closely and you'll see it! #fighterfriday #rcaf

#throwbackthursday to the time Randy Ball launched his MiG-17PF out of Airshow London for a twilight display in 2017. At the time, I believe this was the only airworthy MiG-17PF model that contained a radar in its nose.

A RCAF Grob G120A banks hard after takeoff at Airshow London Departures Day. This Grob G120A is based in Southport, Manitoba with KF Aerospace, and is part of the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program. The Grob did several passes before returning home at this show!

A RCAF CF-18 Rests on the tarmac with its wingtips folded at CFB Cold Lake. Did you know the wingtips could fold?

One more of tonight featuring Venus and the Moon, this time featuring Earth Shine! In certain phases of the moon, if the day is clear enough, you can see the reflection of sunlight from the Earth hitting the moon. Today is one of those times. #earthshine #moon #venus

Want to see a cool space event tonight? The moon and Venus are next to each other, and both are crescents! Pictures taken moments ago in daylight, so will be much brighter at night. #astronomy #planets #moon

The Annular Solar Eclipse of June 10, 2021 resulted in a crescent sunrise where I was in Toronto. The distortions caused by looking over Lake Ontario, with one of the local terns or gulls photobombing to complete the view.
