Sometimes the mention of a videogame you have forgotten just fully tears a lost memory deep from out of your soul complete with pristine “feel” of aiming the guns and perfectly recreated compressed sound effects and all kinds of other sensory data and things and you have to immediately sit down

just came out of zeph & ramo's vid on the silver sisterhood and woah, holy shit the amount of critical gaming history, fetishistic nuns and weirdo religion-based cults in this was astounding. insanely good video. (also it's fucking subbed in english, watch it !!)

Gromit is just ruining this kids' day and rubbing it in.

a night heron and a beer… I feel this is a good omen

I've just released a new game: We Three Shall Meet Again, a three player asynchronous journaling story game where you play as there witches trapped in one body, taking turns living out days, trying to get back to your own bodies, and communicating only through passive aggressive notes.

Is this Utena content!? NO! BUT IT'S COOL, and also a break from processing Utena stuff, so shut up. I bought a vintage set of postcards from the USSR circa 1969, titled "Man in Space." The vibes are impeccable and I've uploaded it to the internet archive! archive.org/details/1969...

whatever. you're just mad because my body immediately located my severed head and placed it back upon my neck stump with dignity and grace while yours stumbled around blindly like a buffoon and when it finally found your head it put it on backwards and people laughed

Citizen Sleeper 2 is somehow the exact game I was hoping for. More Citizen Sleeper, but with ample influence drawn from Cowboy Bebop and Mass Effect. A tight focus on found family in a sometimes rather cruel digital tabletop world.

I Saw The TV Glow if it were written by Imogen Binnie.

FINALLY bought a whole carton of eggs. I have truly made it. I’m egg rich bitch 🥚💰 Yolks on yolks on YOLKS

THIS IS THE ONE THAT WILL LET YOU SEARCH ALL THEIR SHIT I cannot stress how big of a deal this will be for researching games

I cannot overly stress just how good this channel is.

Whatever you think of The Brutalist, you'll find yourself wondering why today's billionaires keep trying to destroy the planet, instead of building an immense, unwieldy community center/chapel/gym on a hill in Pennsylvania as a symbol of their possibly oedipal love for their dead mother.

Mentally ill people do notice when all the discussion is around how outrageous it is to be allowed to call queer people mentally ill, rather than addressing the broader point that being mentally ill has become synonymous with "should be eradicated from society".

Welcome to Sam's first itch book giveaway ☺️ This month's pick is A Rotten Girl by J. Ursula Topaz aka Jemma Topaz, mainly because I adore all the liveblogs I see on my dash & I want to see more! New Year!

My favorite celebrity close encounter that impresses the fewest people/substantially makes anyone I tell about it look at me like I’m insane is that my former boss broke the Jimmy Carter swimming rabbit story

In 1982, the Silver Sisterhood decided to leave the modern world behind and invent another, more traditional one. 5 years later, its members developed the very first X-rated video game. In 1993, when they are forced out of Ireland in a series of scandals, things are only getting started.

"Most of the stories you've heard are nonsense, I'm sure; harmless nonsense, of course. It's just that we all like a good tale and if there seems to be a gap in the telling of it, we fill it up with something we like to think might have been - and who knows, it might have been." Duncton Wood

Given that Animal Well's ARG shenanigans definitively proved that gamers will go to literally any extent to solve a puzzle no matter how cumbersome or obtuse, has anyone tried making a game where the final mystery requires you to, like, do a socialist revolution?
