So in the end, and rather unsurprisingly, the CDU did not win any voters from the far-right AfD by aligning their positions on migration and voting with them in parliament. Instead, they lost almost a million voters to the AfD

Es gibt in Deutschland einen eigenartigen Diskurs, demzufolge die Sozialdemokraten in #Dänemark durch eine harte #Asylpolitik erfolgreich Stimmen gewonnen und Rechtsaußenparteien zurückgedrängt hätten. Das stimmt aber nicht mit den Wahlergebnissen/Umfragedaten überein.

Der Forschungsstand ist klar: Wenn demokratische Parteien rechtspopulistische Erzählungen/Politik übernehmen/nachzuahmen versuchen, hilft das nur rechtspopulistischen Parteien. Expert*innen warnen deswegen seit JAHREN. Niemand kann sagen, man hätte es ja nicht gewusst.
