My indie game for 15 seconds

We went from procedurally generating to hand-placing every single tree in our game Outbound, and I can't stress enough how much of a difference it makes in terms of controlling how the environment looks. It's worth the effort.

We added two rows of mountains in the background to create a sense of depth. With our lighting system we are able to color these in different colors throughout the day, creating these wonderful gradients on the horizon πŸŒ…

True story: In our game Above Snakes, Aiyana's (player character) starting armor sometimes randomly disappears after loading a save file. We never figured out why. At some point, because we were desperate, we created a method that creates a new one each time it disappears. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
