Please can everyone listen to Geek Gods: Sir Ian Livingstone at 4pm and midnight please? Tell everyone about it too. Radio 4 Extra : BBC Sounds thereafter.

With all this Eastenders anniversary talk I suppose I should share my favourite fact about the show: Dead Reg Cox, the body found in the very first scene of Eastenders, was played by Johnny Clayton who was the spiky faced Delegate in Doctor Who’s Mission to the Unknown.

You don’t want to miss the fabulous, caustic and side-splittingly funny @sarabarron.bsky.social at @xsmalarkey.com at 53Two tonight. Always worth a watch so do pop in if you can.

Please tune in to Geek Gods: Sir Ian Livingstone (presented by me) on BBC Radio 4 Extra on 22nd Feb at 4pm and midnight. We’d love to do more of this sort of thing so spread the word and if you enjoy it be sure to sing so from the rooftops (or on social media!). www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Stuart worked his arse off on this documentary and his experience shows in every brilliant visual flourish and thoughtful segue. Not a stone is left unturned and this film has a unique flavour all its own. And it’s about the same length as the story!!

Lovely shows at @xsmalarkey.com these past two weeks - acts including @misterabk.bsky.social @josielong.bsky.social doing brilliant things and the night selling out. Do make sure to come to 53Two of a Tuesday xx

Ed Stradling has a Patreon with loads of video content which should be catnip to my archive TV loving friends. Highly recommended: he does diligent, accessible work with loads of amazing clips. It’s called The TV Museum. www.patreon.com/posts/121801...

Tomorrow at 4pm on BBC Radio 4x, the Fear on Four adaptation of my story By the River, Fontainebleau. A painter’s obsession over a young country girl shades into something more disturbing. Introduction by @tobyhadoke.bsky.social

A fond farewell to Christopher Benjamin today. Lots of love in the room and a happy/sad remembrance of his life and work. I’m lucky to have spent time with him but sad to think I’ll not have the pleasure of doing so again. What a lovely man: and such a marvellous actor.

I’ve made a show! An hour long profile of the co-founder of Games Workshop and all round games guru who perpetuates his passion for play to this day. Join me as I talk to the man himself in Geek Gods: Sir Ian Livingstone Radio 4 Extra: 22nd February at 4pm/midnight (and on BBC Sounds thereafter).

I’m about to meet (and interview) a Knight of the Realm. How exciting! (*nothing to do with Doctor Who so sshhh)

Lovely review of Captain Kronos and our Brian Clemens documentary from a very respected source:

A while ago, I loved having the chance to talk about one of my favourite bits of Doctor Who, namely ‘The Deadly Assassin’ for @tobyhadoke.bsky.social on his podcast. First two eps are up on YouTube and on all podcast providers.
