Gutting way to begin the week. Roberta Flack has died. Her music was part of the soundtrack of my youth & I recall my folks playing it on our home stereo in the living room, & them slow dancing to it in the kitchen. The Citadel was ordered to admit women in '95 after a suit by Shannon Faulkner, who sought admission. A federal judge, citing the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment, ruled for Faulkner, ordering The Citadel to admit her & other women. So, Mace was a DEI admission. Am I doing this right?
