The worst thing that's happened to email in the last decade is not spam, it's MS Office adding emoji responses to email. This is a new hell, sending an email with nothing but a remote image of an emoji that's blocked in the mail client anyway. I swear Microsoft is out to completely kill email.

As cities deal with the effects of climate change, protecting the tree canopy & planting street trees will be critical. Surface temperature on two adjacent blocks of the same Winnipeg street. The second block had its street trees removed in the 1960’s to add car lanes.

Browser extension idea for someone: "Tab Timer". I want to be able to set alarms on the tabs I leave open in FireFox so they will either auto-close or give me a reminder on a set date or after a set interval. Maybe #developers #hacking can help some of us close a few hundred #browsertabs.

Know what mature software projects never do but should consider? Go through the app & start ripping out features. Drop whatever is hard to maintain, gets little use, or causes performance hits. Everything should justify being there for a majority of users; make edge cases add-ons instead.
