In many ways, FFT ruined me for Fantasy games in general. I deeply appreciated what it was trying to do, and wanted so badly for it to do more (the protagonist is, after all, a "true nobleman" contrasted with a grasping commoner). All of my favourite characters in FFT die, usually at my hands.
