Paid the bill for the company whose workers crawled under my house and dug out most of the muck from the flood including a pile of whiskey bottles without labels. In the mountains you know what that means? Moonshine!

I thought I would post this Jet Pens link on left hand fountain pens and writing. If you haven't seen Jet Pens yet, you need to see what they have! www.jetpens.com/blog/The-Bes...

Back to the mountains today in time for... snow? Yep, it snows in April.

This is what happens when everyone knows gramps shouldn't be driving but no one wants to take away his keys.

And lo, the trailer did drop: www.apple.com/tv-pr/news/2... #murderbot

The DOT people are back! In one place half the dirt road cracked and dropped off thanks to Helene. They fixed it once but it cracked and dropped off again, isolating a handful of people. They are trying to stabilize it now with bigger rocks.

The tariffs spooked me into ordering a new refrigerator last night. The one here made it through the flood but it is rusting, making funny noises and freezing things randomly. I was going to run it until it died but who knows how much a new one will cost after Trump gets through screwing us?

OMG I thought the new ink, Pelikan Golden Lapis wasn't so special until I tipped the page close to a window and the blue ink turned golden! It is stunning! I keep shifting the page so it shines like gold. Beautiful ink!

I am thrilled to be back in the mountains. It was a lot warmer in the flatlands but gorgeous with everything flowering. The downside was allergies and so. much. pollen. Every thing was yellow.

The restoration folk are done under the house. It is the worst they've seen. I don't doubt it. The amount of crap pushed under the house by the flood was amazing. Glad they've taken care of all the mold and dug much of it out.

The restoration crew should wrap things up tomorrow. I hope. I've tried to make them understand that I can clearly hear every word they say. Some poor life choices have been made.
