#OnThisDay in 1958, #Tolkien writes to Mr. Wood. Tolkien says he would "very much like to meet you and Mr. David Smith." Tolkien is on leave due to his wife's illness and he will be visiting her in hospital around tea-time for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been looking for an affordable copy of this for a long time and found one in great condition! This is the 1927 1st Edition, 1st Impression of E.V. Gordon’s Intro to Old Norse, which Tolkien read the proofs of and made suggestions and corrections to.

#OnThisDay in 1921, #Tolkien writes to John Johnson. Tolkien and Johnson had met on 12 February when Tolkien handed over material for A Middle English Vocabulary. Tolkien had forgotten to include a revised slip from the Glossary and sends it now. They had spoken on Kenneth's Sisam's (1/2)
