This was a brilliantly beautiful book that was in depth and yet accessible. I highly recommend this if you are a fan of Tolkien and LOTR. 📚 amzn.to/41dgdXg

Read good books.

Celebrating the 5K milestone! Thanks for the support friends. Love spreading wonder & joy through Middle-earth.

Aslan to Lucy: “But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.” So good!

New #Tolkien book for the 11 hour flight to Japan…

New Wētā LOTR package... 👀

Tolkien on the death of things in Arda: “Is it not the loss of the things that was, and the love of its former shape, now dissolving, that makes the process of this dissolution painful, or sometimes horrible?”

People think the #Tolkien book collection is excessive. Then I bring out the 4.5 foot witch-king sword… ⚔️

An imaginary world that can feel more real than the one we live in.

Hey you, yeah you.... You are loved by God. You were created with a purpose. You are gifted to bless others. Keep going friends. Lift your vision. We are in a great tale!

C.S. Lewis' advice on how to become a better writer

Crazy. Almost at 5,000 subs on the channel. If you haven’t subscribed, I would love for you to join in — I have some really fun interviews and videos coming out in the coming weeks and months. YouTube.com/@tolkienwonder

Tolkien on the main thrust of LOTR: “I would say, if saying such things did not spoil what it tries to make explicit, ‘by ordained individuals, inspired and guided by an Emissary to ends beyond their individual education and enlargement’.” - Letter 281

How I feel inside when someone says that LOTR is just a book for kids…

A box of Tolkien’s pipes… Just like a Hobbit.

A good life consists of both

This is coming to my city, just a few miles away! Looks intriguing. Definitely buying tix. Anyone ever been to one of these?

Inside a Hobbit pantry…

A little bedtime reading.

“It’s like being at home and on a holiday at the same time, if you understand me.” - Samwise Gamgee

“Don't the great tales never end?" "No, they never end as tales," said Frodo. "But the people in them come, and go when their part's ended. Our part will end later – or sooner.” - LOTR

My idea of a date: holding hands while enjoying a good drink in front of a roaring fire at the Green Dragon!

Yes, these exist ❤️😆

Finally finishing this series by Andrew Peterson — I have read nearly 400 pages today because I could not put it down (and because my kids kept telling me to finish so we can talk about it)! What an epic take of beauty, adventure and meaning. Just 40 pages left!

The first Silmarillion map. Drawn by Tolkien on an unused page from a University of Leeds examination booklet.

Sheesh. Been MIA on here and basically life since coming down with the flu. Took me out for the last 10 days. Still not back to normal. It's these kinds of experiences that make you grateful for everyday health! Hope you all are well friends.

This was such a mesmerizing conversation. Enchanting. Encouraging. Enlightening. 👉 youtu.be/qgM1U7cyqbY

This is kind of crazy. All just in a few months... Celebrating the growing community.

This was a conversation that struck some deep things within me and I think it will encourage you deeply as well!

One of my favorite things to do when I visit a new city is find a bookstore and see what Tolkien books they have. Hello New York. Hello Tolkien.

Good morning ☀️

We matched on accident today. We’re a Tolkien family. 📚✌🏼

Flying to NY tomorrow so I had to get a new book to read! From how Tolkien and Lewis talked about this, I cannot wait to dig in!

This clip blew my mind as I heard @malcolmguite.bsky.social unpack it. #Tolkien really did write prophetic literature. Give it a watch and let me know what you think...

I love that there is a growing #Tolkien community on here -- if you are a fan of Middle-earth, drop a comment and share this post, I would love to find more Tolkien fans...

Newest acquisition: Lewis put together an anthology of MacDonald’s writings, one per day for the whole year (mostly from his sermons).

PSA: LOTR is the best.

“Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible; and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing that they evidently prefer.” - Tolkien (forward to LOTR)
