German ⚡️power price went above €1000/MWh (avg is 75) last week. Weather meant 16GW less renewable generation than usual. Blasted intermittent sources! There was also 11GW of fossil generation unavailable, due to malfunctions. Tech malfunctions. Definitely not Enron-esque trading malfunctions. 🔌💡

There’s a false dichotomy in AI discourse: 1. AI is dumb. Nothing to worry about. 2. AI is becoming hyper intelligent. Panic! When the below perfectly highlights the danger in AI being dumb, and humans are applying it foolishly. That’s assuming the kindest interpretation of our applications.
