It is absolutely maddening and ridiculous the way people drop quotes from, or otherwise reference, Timothy Snyder's "On Tyranny" in a way that is 100% indistinguishable from the way people cite holy scriptures. It's just a dumb little undertheorized book by a guy speaking completely out of his lane!

It’s true. As someone who has lived in OK for a while, you hear a lot of locals referring favorable to the “Chat Pile bod”. In fact, you can even filter for it on a lot of the local dating apps.
