I *finally* pushed up the Mixergy Home Assistant card I created. Using my Home Assistant integration, it will show you the current charge level in your Mixergy tank. Details at github.com/tomasmcguinn...

Some light, bedtime reading. The energy management features of Matter are very interesting. I have an idea to build some tiny, model appliances with Matter control. That would allow me to tinker with this API and make model appliances 😂

Spotted this earlier on this morning. I was wondering if ESP could act as a Matter controller. I'm pleased to see that it can! I was pondering moving a Matter version of my F.A.R.T. sensor with a specialised controller. ESP-IDF might make that possible.

Took an Audi Q4 to a 150kW charger today. It managed about 55kW. On my drive home, stopped my Model Y at a supercharger and it topped out at 220kW on a 300kW charger. The Tesla preconditioned the battery. What a massive difference in capability.

I tried using some low temperature solder to remove an nRF5240. Can’t say it went well. I think V3 of my FART sensor boards will use a socket and some pogo pins.

At last, some success decoding an FSK message using Universal Radio Hacker.

Sending and decoding a 433MHz signal with an ESP32, a CC1101 and Universal Radio Hacker In this blog post, I write about how my attempts to send and decode a binary message over 433MHz

I’ve realised that what I should have done was just use pogo pins for the battery and mounts for the XIAO boards. Would be much easier to solder. Revision 3?

If nothing else, my RTT logging rig is working well. Four days and my sensor is still responding to identify requests and temp changes. I think I’ll leave it another 24 hours.

My nRF52840 logger is up and running and this is to help me figure out why my Zigbee code becomes unresponsive after a few days.

Had to wait an a mini HDMI cable, but my Zigbee test rig is running. This setup is logging from the nRF52840DK. Hopefully this will indicate the problem if my Zigbee device does offline.

In this post, I discuss how to capture RTT logs from an nRF development kit using a Raspberry Pi!

I need to turn off Aliexpress notifications. Keep seeing stuff like this!

Starting with the basis. I have a CC1101 sending packets of data. Gonna see if I can find and decode it using Universal Radio Hacker!

In this post I have a go at decoding a radio signal from a wireless push button. TL;DR: Very difficult!!!

Thinking about surface mount soldering and discovered these tiny hot plates! amzn.to/4hA0ZTn

Does this like ASK or FSK modulation?

Picked up an SDR. This has been on my list for a long time. The kinetic switches finally pushed me to buy one so I can learn more about their radio operation.
