Yeah I can see this. I’ve always been one who separates “greatest” and “best”. Some will include Jordan’s influence on culture with Nike as part of case and some won’t. Debate is so nuanced when it comes to playoff/finals arguments.

The stats you can put forward about what players like Wemby and Luka need to do and the pace they need to keep to catch all his records is just so ridiculous it doesn’t make sense.

Also feels like basketball discourse is at a point where it’s taking Lebron a lot more seriously now. In his cavs/early laker era it was still cool to hate on him. It isn’t anymore.

“100 point team”
“Four window plan”
“All the big six think our plan will work”
Remove these type of article from discourse and you’ve got some criticism but a lot less of it. Just be quietttttttt

As mentioned below. Just shut the hell up and get on with it. You look stupid because you spend half your briefing credits on telling everyone how great you are.

Yes for sure. And we *shouldnt* need him for Leicester and Southampton at home anyway.

I’m sure if they had Michael Edwards above them as was first hoped then they’d perform better than they are now when they’ve got the PE guy above them

This is also not specifically about the coach. It’s steeped in risk because the summer window was never going to be a good one so whoever it was would go into 24/25 shorthanded.

The one thing I like about this app is I can say that without some bot child insulting me in response.

I’m also, on a personal level, just sick and fucking tired of doing this once a year, I saw enough at the start of the season to ride out the squad building excuses to prop this up

When have you ever heard from Richard Hughes? or Michael Edwards? Or Txiki? Just get on with it and stop briefing journos about how great you are.

All this embarrassment for them could have been avoided if they just shut the fuck up the last two years. But they’ve talked themselves into a position where we’re all wondering where all they’ve been chatting about is.

The problem I have is you’re right, and they’ll do it, and it will exonerate any blame internally for anything.
They’ve backed themselves into a corner where the summer business is so simple and obvious that they’ll do it and praise themselves for it.

I don’t think the performance was disastrous but we are suffering from negligence in whatever departments are responsible for the last two months. And unless those responsible change their approach or improve we aren’t going to. Let’s just stop pretending everything is fine Clearlake.

I’m a cursed individual, if I talk shit about a player they do something, this is all calculated

I felt like Liverpool had started a bit of a rut and they’d been found out a bit. That may still be the case, I just didn’t factor in how completely average Arsenal are right now.

I’ve just recently got access to peacock as a Brit and will check it out. One thing we have in the UK that’s similar is TNT do the UCL goals show which is some pundits at a table jumping from game to game so you see every goal but you can’t choose.

A lot have opinions on the type of coach and tactician Maresca is but I struggle to direct anything at him. Insane how the The Athletic continue to let the directors get away with 1.4 billion they’ve set on fire.

Like that goal is just 4 of the best players in the world just balling out. Not much you can do.
