Sports scientists: Looking for a new challenge in 2025? 🏆 We’re hiring for a part-time or full-time role to take athlete testing with our Ledsreact Pro to the next level. Drop us a message! 🚀 #SportsCareers #sportstech #sportsscience #ExerciseScience More at: www.ledsreact.com/jobs

We’re looking for clinicians and researchers in #physiotherapy and #sportsmed who’d like to integrate markerless motion capture and analysis to their work. It’s for a chat and free access to our app, not a sales pitch.

Beyond min/max biomechanics! We reviewed 165 studies using SPM1d in sports biomechanics. SPM1d analyzes full movements, not just peaks. Literature still lacks: field studies, bigger samples and diverse populations www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... #Biomechanics #SportsScience #physiotherapy

New and important systematic review of language errors in #painmedicine and #painscience by @rogerhilfiker.bsky.social and team. Sorry for giving you guys hard time as reviewer 2 😉 Well done! www.jpain.org/article/S152...

New paper alert! We developed a reliable method to measure knee strength & rate of force development using a handheld dynamometer + 3D printed adapter (free online). Makes reliable muscle testing more accessible for clinics & labs. journals.humankinetics.com/view/journal... #Exercise #Biomechanics

Feeds are the next cool thing on here, right? 😁 So I made a Sports & Exercise Research Feed: bsky.app/profile/did:... If I didn’t mess up, it’ll pull posts with #SportScience, #ExerciseScience, or #PhysicalActivity and show in one feed. Fingers crossed this makes finding and sharing easier! 🤞

Recruiting Ph.D. Students!! The Penn State Locomotor Control (LoCo) Lab is actively recruiting highly qualified graduate students interested in starting in Fall (Aug) 2025 to study the biodynamics and motor control of human walking.

While many opportunities exist to use wearable motion sensors, it isn’t always clear what information is needed to support different types of decisions. I collaborated with Jack Dennerlein and Yadrianna Acosta-Sojo to take a systems-thinking perspective to measuring physical work demands.

Our Jefferson curls study is slowly progressing! We are looking at kinematics and sEMG of the back, hamstrings, and glutes during sub-maximal Jefferson curl versus Romanian deadlift. Participants so far reached up to 102kg Jefferson💪🏻 Stay tuned! #exercisescience #Sportscience #Biomechanics

New project updates! Using BIOPAC, we're collecting synchronized 12-lead ECG & PPG data. Me and chatgpt built a Python + PyQt6 app for signal visualization, HR/HRV analysis, and ECG grid display. Future steps: filtering, peak detection, and CSV export. Let's connect! #DataAnalysis #ECG #PPG

Journal of Applied Biomechanics is looking for a deputy editor to work with Katherine Boyer. Take a look at the recent announcement: journals.humankinetics.com/fileasset/JA...
