Leopardonia had always been at war with Yourfacia

The letter ‘d’ in Dunstable is load-bearing. Take it away & see what happens

I love the fact Richard Donner tricked Gene Hackman into shaving off his moustache for Superman (and Gene Hackman did, too)

In the early 2000s my default style consisted of a long brown coat and Converse boots, which ended abruptly in 2005 when David Tennant became #DoctorWho and people accused me of cosplaying. That's when I started wearing a tweed jacket and bowtie.

OK, where are all the #DavidLynch people hiding? They can't all be on Threads (they're a lovely bunch, by the way) We need some golden sunshine in the Blue Sky.

I miss the good old days, when the only tech bro on my radar was Sir Clive Sinclair

Kinda weird how a notorious, unmistakable hand gesture that generations of schoolkids would immediately recognise isn't better known amongst professional media pundits

Bet he cheats at the Indiana Jones game, too. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

If it looks like a duck, steps like a goose and salutes like a Nazi, the media will probably not report on it accurately

Who made this 🤣

I guess the U.S. TikTok ban will force American social media users to go back to traditional, wholesome, Russian botfarm values.

Eureka (1983 - that year again...). Dir. Nicolas Roeg. Stars Gene Hackman, Theresa Russell, Rutger Hauer and Mickey Rourke. Think 'There Will Be Blood' with gold instead of oil and lots of occult imagery. Features a murder scene so gruesome that it still haunts me 35 years after seeing it on TV.

Thinking of the time teenage me was walking through Birmingham City Centre and noticed an older, scruffy-looking guy following me. Tried to lose him, but he was relentless. He intercepted me near the old Virgin Megastore and said "You gotta tell me, man: where'd you get that Eraserhead t-shirt?"

Been thinking a lot about David Lynch, for obvious reasons, alas. I was revisiting Wild at Heart with the missus late last Saturday night, which I hadn't watched in years. We'd gone out to see Nosferatu, came home and watched Renfield and followed it up with acrobatic Nic Cage in a snakeskin jacket.

I got to be friends with David Lynch when we were both at Universal years ago. A very kind man, he was a fan of Bob's Big Boy. So was I. I'm going to miss him. R.I.P. David.

R.I.P. David Lynch. Inspiration personified. #icon #legend #eraserhead #mulhollanddrive #bluevelvet With thanks to Robert Levacy.

RIP David Lynch

It's that time of year again - when #SpotifyWrapped reminds me that I share an account with my wee Irish ma.

I don't mind lefty social media echo chambers, so long as the acoustics are decent

They won't like it if Gary Lineker's Match of the Day replacement turns out to be Mrs Claus

Is Day of the Jackal as good as Dawn of the Jackal?

Jack Kirby invents the dishwasher (1965)

One way of healing from a toxic eX is by embarking on a poly thrupple with Blue Sky and Threads
