Regarding Kansas being disappointing: Hunter Dickinson obviously has individual talent, but his teams have tended to underperform: loss in elite 8 as a one seed in 2021, barely over .500 in 2022 (but an upset to sweet 16), even closer to .500 and only NIT in 2023, twice now at Kansas.

It's annoying how clearly this is going to play out. They gut the FAA. Therefore, the FAA can't do its job well because it was gutted. Therefore, they say "The FAA sucks, we have to privatize it." which is what Project 2025 wants to do. They're manufacturing the crises for their end goal.

I’m reviewing a paper that in part emphasizes how American science & technology innovation outdid the nazis and soviets because their science organizations rewarded loyalty and congruence with regime ideology over realities that conflicted with them. I have been avoiding a similar talk with my Dad. I guess we all need to point some things out and hope it somehow does some good. This seems like a good approach -- ask them questions they have to confront. They're smart enough to figure it out.
