Ok, I'll take a crack at it. 2025 is a goddamn nightmare for everyone. Consumer spending dips as millions of Americans lose access to food stamps, social security, and Medicaid/Medicare benefits to DOGE's cuts. The market tanks by summer, spreading across Tech, Housing, and finally Finance. (1/)

Dem project 2025 (destroy gop edition) *Incentivize car manufacturers to adopt direct sales *Amend Supplement Labeling Act *Aggressive IRS audits over $10mm *Aggressively enforcing FARA *Aggressive SEC, IRS, FTC, and DOJ investigations against VCs/tech *Banning MLMs, criminal charges if applicable

Go ahead. Let the people see you for what you are.

These stickers (using the design by @ynot1989.bsky.social) were apparently were a hit with the folks at our local protest yesterday where someone passed a stack out for me.

Phobos blurb: Stickney is the largest settlement on Phobos, with a population of just under 17,000. While technically it refers to the crater on Phobos' surface, it also applies to the O'Neill Cylinder resting 7km above it, serving as a hub for the massive domed-city project in the crater below.

Solarcrawl: Rockets!! A lot of space exploration games spend time in, well, space. While there will be some of that in Solarcrawl, the most important parts are the ones that happens around planets, rather than the days or months spent traveling there. Space is big, even in a fantasy universe. 1/3

Quick correction: Madison favored a max of 50,000 people per district. During the constitutional convention, Washington really only expressed support for 30,000 people per district. Head over to r/imaginaryelections to see what that might have looked like.

They write NAVY on the side of their destroyers just to make sure you know who you're dealing with

whole lotta money in ag. subsidies, and those people don't vote for democrats. sorry, Nebraska farmers, president Ocasio-Cortez has decided the department's priorities lie elsewhere.

Working on a fun little one-shot.

#BlackAlternateHistoryMonth In the timeline of Noughts & Crosses, the dark-skinned Crosses still dominate their former slaves, the lighter-skinned Noughts. Set in apartheid Albion, aka Britain, it follows the relationship between a mixed race couple as tensions between the races escalate.

Interesting thread on what if this asteroid hits us. To be clear it isn't a civilization ender, but it would suck if you happen to live where it's going to land.

I love the contrast between these two WWII anti-Nazi posters. Never change, Mexico and Canada. Never change.

This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm. The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him. Happy Black History Month.

Remember to boost *all* footage you see of protests. Absolutely all of it. If there's the perception of protests, there will be more protests. Cover everyone's phone screens with it. It's a call to action

Would be cool if an ass load of Wisconsinites were to collectively write letters to the editor every week until April bringing up this unearthed audio of the GOP backed candidate pretty much foreshadowing that he'll rule to limit women's autonomy. (see tips next post) truthout.org/articles/con...

I decided to give an update to an old piece from a few years back on what I think the future of technology is, why its not AI, and how new core technologies are developed. Enjoy.

[Upcoming space movie] Lost in Starlight (Netlix, no release date) "This animated romance takes to the skies as it tells the celestial love story of astronaut Nan-young and musician Jay who embark in the longest-ever long-distance relationship — one that bridges Earth and Mars." By Han Ji-won.

Quick lesson for those with lives: After the Crash of 2008, the Federal Reserve (and most other national banks) lowered and held interest rates on Federal Bonds close to zero to help the economy recover. This freed up the supply of money, which made debt very cheap...
