Currently setting up the lights. Shooting on red komodo today! #filmmaking

Shooting the biggest chunk of a Funding Trailer today. Also: Made a video about my fav little camera, that I have in my Pocket all year. youtu.be/_KrzsalLrEA

Conclave not being nominated for best cinematography. we say it every year but the academy is a joke.

This is a good place to start exploring Bluesky's Filmmaking Bubble. Worked well for me the last couple of days! bsky.app/profile/did:...

Looking forward to shoot a small funding trailer on the Weekend. Pre-pro is done already. Will probably manage to do a vid about it! :)

Feel like Lighting is the most underrated topic in Filmmaking. Did a video about low budget lighting for Indie-Films yesterday. Maybe you get some value out of it. youtu.be/549vRSbxHFY

What‘s the biggest challenge for you personally when it comes to filmmaking? I think finding the right locations with zero to no budget is just on top of the list for me.

No one has ever influenced me more to push the Low-Budget-Filmmaking boundaries then @Gawxart has. No excuses to deliver shitty images if that guy can do it in the comfort of his own home. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX_4...

Indie Filmmaking is hard. But I'm always surprised what kind of look you can reach without or minimal lighting setups. Its all about Location and correct Blocking in relation to the natural light you have available. These stills are from the last film I shot. And we used 0 or a single light.

Just finished The Thin Red Line (1998). Felt a bit weak in comparison. I'm not a big fan of directors attempting to convey what they think are "profound" ideas, but are actually straightforward concepts of good versus evil, especially when the setting alone is sufficient to deliver the message.

Still trying to figure out if there is already a filmmaking Bluesky. This is from a film I shot two weeks ago in Abu Dhabi. Actually I‘ve never been more happy with grade ever. Such a stunning location. If you are into filmmaking follow me. Let‘s support each other.

We all know this shot from Nosferatu (2024) is gonna end up as the shot of the year 🤯 Insane cinematography. Also they had to place a light 150ft in the air and it only worked on the second night as the first night was too windy. Filmmaking at its best.

Best filmmaking advice of the week. Must watch for every director/cinematographer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa1O...

Daily reminder: if you start doing the right things today it will take a while to see the outcome even if you do everything right. Learned that last year and it‘s absolutely true.

I think Bluesky is my new home now. Hanging on X feels like scrolling nonsense all day. Maybe this is a better place to write down some thoughts. For the history Books: BTC 100k today.
