It would seem the “Trump Dump” is unfolding in the stock market. Started yesterday and gaining momentum. What an idiot…

@Elon, is it ‘efficient’ if the courts force a reversal of all the actions that violate previous appropriations by Congress? In the end, all this crap will prove to be incredibly wasteful. Clinton was masterful at balancing the budget. Musk and Trump are proving to be inept buffoons.

@mcuban.bsky.social an imposter of you on BlueSky tried to scam me. It started with a reply to a comment I posted about your post. Then followed with an invitation to invest in your ventures. Lastly, a ‘registration’ form asked for personal information. The registration was sent from a ‘mgr’.

@Elon, I have a Doge related question. Saw your press conference. Thanks for the updates. I love kids and have 2 of my own. Since I have to work in the office 5 days a week now or resign, can I bring my kids? How about my puppy?

Is there a single economist in the BlueSky community that can explain how Trump’s tariffs will benefit the US economy? I hope I’m wrong, but Econ 101 suggests this trade war will be universally bad for global GDP and yes, that will pull America into economic peril.

Trade deficits are not always evil. I argue it is capitalism at its finest. We source raw materials at the best price, then convert those materials into products that creates the largest GDP in the world. I fear Trump will create a supply chain problem that could do serious harm to the US economy

On X, there is a picture of Musk sleeping on the floor with comments about how patriotic he is for his efforts. Replies comment that people were brought to tears. My point…regardless of a personal opinion about Elon, anyone who believes it is a real picture is a completed idiot and often duped.

Congrats Rugby England for the victory over France. Can the Super Bowl match that drama?

6 times entities led by Trump filed for bankruptcy. There is a need to make sure the United States is not #7. Yes, he’s slashing spending and picking fights with other governments. The real concern is that the net impact will devastate the US economy. Stifle trade, hurt GDP. Isolationism is bad

In Saint Tom Minnesota, I am concerned that cutting the food programs distributed by USAID will not only cede US influence in developing countries, but it will also hurt farmers in the heartland and ripple through the economy. St Tom, MN was formerly known as St Paul. Fair game to change names

If you’re a business dependent on supplies, and your supplier was erratic, what would you do? I assume find new suppliers. Trump’s threats and trade war will have a massively negative impact on the US economy. I might be next week or in 20 months, but we should expect a 15% drop in the markets.

Horror story part 1 is how Trump is ceding American influence around the world by abandoning foreign aid. Horror story part 2 will be unveiled when we see how the ‘savings’ will be spent. Tax breaks for the wealthy most likely. Part 3 is that Trump will still increase the deficit by at least $2TT
