Thames Water, which is over £16 BILLION in debt, has just been granted a £3 billion rescue loan. Last December it was still paying fat dividends to bosses and shareholders. This corporate greed and entitlement needs to be stopped. As I’ve said before: It’s fucking WATER.

Keir Starmer announcing Labour has hit NHS targets 9 months early, following an announcement we are ready to put boots on the ground in Ukraine. Kemi Badenoch giving a speech at a think tank saying western culture is under attack by woke. Richard Tice sending tweets doubting global warming.

Does this demonstrate that she is clueless and unprepared - or - is it done to get the right wing press to publicise the comment by headline, with the reply buried much later in the article, if at all?

Nigel Farage, the man who has done more than anyone alive in Britain today to hurt British farming, in *actual* costume, cosplaying an ally. I think the farming community need to realise how much his presence politicises their protest and hurts their credibility. ~AA

They deny it. The media avoids saying it. But the evidence is clear ✅ "Reform UK is far-right! That is not an opinion, that is a fact." – Cas Mudde, leading expert on the far-right 🧵👇

Thought experiment for Labour… With over 4yrs and a huge majority, why not stir it up? Pitch your tent defiantly on the liberal lawn, loudly reject the epic failures of Brexit and rightwing immigration ideology and see how many liberal votes you gain instead of chasing Reform into a toxic dead end?

Imagine you were the richest man in the world. You could have anything you wanted, go anywhere you wished, do whatever took you fancy. How would you spend your weekend? Depriving the poorest people in the world of food and healthcare and boasting about it?

I wonder what the millions of people conned into believing Brexit would mean LESS red tape for British business - a central plank of the Leave campaign - think of those who sold that lie now. ~AA

5 years of Brexit... In 2020, Yorkshire Bylines started the "David Downside Dossier"; named after David Davis' infamous quote that there would be no downsides to Brexit. The DDD started recording "downsides" published in the media. In Sept 2024, the DDD hit 2,000 recorded downsides -and stopped.

Broadcasters who repeated this obvious bollocks are not required to make any correction or apologise to their listeners/viewers. And I saw at least two columnists making hay with it. They too will retract nothing.

Abandoning trans rights means abandoning ALL rights. They are inseperable. Abandoning trans people is to abandon all people, and indeed our very humanity. Think about what the fascist asks for, and then think of the totality of its cost. And then say no. To all of it.

Nigel Farage decides to be honest about Brexit.

Brexit was a con. Sold on a pack of lies by fantasists, ladybird libertarians, chancers, xenophobes and spivs. On this day of all days we should take a moment to remind everyone of that.

And this is the man that a quarter of voters are considering as a reasonable option. If the can do this sort of damage from the sidelines, what might he do with actual power? ~AA

"I was a strong Brexit supporter. I made that decision to try to save our industry. We believed fishing in the UK was going to be stronger. It's what we were promised. Instead it's smaller. It's costing us £60,000pa extra. #Brexit has done me no favours." www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Vicky Pryce just delivers economic fact: "We haven't really seen any benefits and we've seen loads of worrying trends... It's not a good time to be isolated and trying to make deals with [partners] who don't see us as particularly important." ~AA #Brexit

Brexit wasn't a failure and that's why I don't keep having to write articles saying Brexit wasn't a failure because the benefits of Brexit are so abundantly clear to everyone that this would simply be a redundant exercise and would you look at that it's lunchtime off to my club I go.

Johnson's government May's government Cameron's government Thatcher's government OI! STARMER! NOT YOUR GOVERNMENT! Such flexible principles. 😂 ~AA

Donald Trump’s toxic remarks on Gaza reveal lack of joined-up thinking

So how’s it going so far?

That's weird, I'm hearing story after story of how your party spent 14 years increasing child poverty, doubling homelessness, trebling national debt, wasting £8.7bn on dodgy PPE, raising taxes to a record high and filling our rivers with shit.

This is absolutely chilling. He truly is a sociopath.

Seems he knows the difference, after all.

Oh in that case it was definitely a full on Nazi Hitler salute

Trump won… Oligarchy won Your average American lost and will continue to lose.

Really quite extraordinary to see demands for Starmer's resignation, in response to his being open about terrible mistakes that happened between 2017-2024, from the very politicians who were in charge during that time - sometimes at the depts that messed up. ~AA www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01...

Lovely.

Douglas Alexander: "#Brexit has not only inhibited cross-Channel trade to the EU, but risks making the UK a more closed economy... There was a post-Covid manufacturing boom globally, where the UK effectively just missed out. We were judged to be more challenging to do business with." ~AA

Very telling that morning network breakfast show in US seem to be falling over themselves to cover anything but Trump this am. Even cable news show doing less than you’d think. That’s despite astonishing flurry of policy changes. He and his politics have been completely normalised.

£715 million of taxpayer money was wasted by the Conservatives on the failed Rwanda scheme in little over two years. Including £134 million on IT and data systems that will never be used. 🤯 www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

We need to ban this motherf*cker too.

Calum Miller, "One of the biggest barriers to growth is a self inflicted one, because we have deliberately cut off our access to our biggest market, the European Union" "The solution to growth is a deeper and tighter relationship with the EU so businesses don't trip over the new red tape" #BBCQT

Today's Daily Mail. This rag should have been shutdown in the late 30's when they were supporting Hitler.

Such weird positioning to say people are 'sick of politicians promising the earth and not delivering' when it's *her* party that's been in power, and not delivering, for the last 14 years. And Labour have only been in office for six months.

Dom Cummings or ‘Cum,’as we his pals call him, is loved. What a team him & Elon make! In our village we call them Musky Cum. Jill in the village shop is celebrating by covering her baps in fudge & cream & calling them ‘Musky Cummers.’ They are a tad difficult to swallow though.🤢

NEW YouGov poll shows 65% of Brits say Trump is a threat to European peace. That's also a majority in all parties except Reform UK.

$1,131,794,901 That's how much Big Oil has spent over the last 30 years paying off Congress to look the other way on climate action while the planet burns. Well, the planet is burning. Don't let them look away.

Lawyers for Liz Truss have asked me to stop saying Liz Truss crashed the economy. I only said Liz Truss crashed the economy because Liz Truss did crash the economy. If she wanted me to not say Liz Truss crashed the economy, she shouldn’t have crashed the economy. Please don’t share.

Yep.

🚨🚨 in case you’re wondering why the Tories didn’t implement the Alexis Jay report into child sex abuse we reveal tonight that her proposal for a compensation scheme for victims would cost £5-10bn according to preliminary Whitehall estimates www.ft.com/content/cef1...

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.
