If this is blocking off the street then I can do the splits.

Media really stretching with these photos of “protesters” building “barricades” with 5 tipped over shopping carts and a dumpster.

I’ve sold this hat to people for $1000 so this is a steal.

I run a non-profit that works on a real policy issue (parking) and I have staff I try to pay well, but many hundreds — or maybe thousands — of people give money to divisive keyboard warriors every month to read their substacks. Support good work by good folks here. parkingreform.org/support

This dude (Noah Smith) is dumb.

Claiming that the LA Metro K Line goes to Redondo Beach is technically true in the same way that there's a 2.4 mile straight that technically seperates the USA and Russia in the Bering Sea.

I saw this and figured it was a two bit grifter account, then I saw it was a senator, then I confirmed my prior.

I know a quick way to put a trillion dollars in a sovereign wealth fund and it only requires seizing one criminal's assets.

Survey 30-40 towns and invariably they demand wildly different parking mandates for bowling alleys: 2-8 spaces per lane! That's Jordan's Law of Lane Variance. Parking mandates are a chaotic mess, not a science.

This is the purest distillation of American car culture I’ve ever seen.

One reason that bowling alleys are ripe for redevelopment is that parking requirements in most cities demand huge parking lots for these facilities so the overall per-acre profitability is low. Is it a coincidence that bowling center numbers peaked at the same time zoning adoption did? I doubt it.

This. We need more of this. A lot more of this.

The reason cities aren’t prepared to regulate AV is that they (and the general public) are averse to regulating cars at all. The problem with AV isn’t that they’re autonomous, it’s that they’re cars.

Lemme know if you’ll be there and you wanna meet up and talk about parking.

🚨BIG NEWS! The CT Senate passed HB 5002 over the weekend, which fully repeals parking mandates for all residential uses! It's now heading off to the governor's desk!! Big shoutout to the folks behind ctparkingreform.org @trumbullbrod.bsky.social and Casey Moran ctmirror.org/2025/05/30/h...

Cars really are the worst.
