How do you know your transit agency doesn’t care about maintaining the schedule: it removes any suggestion of how late the vehicle is! #RTD Denver wants to hide when the bus is 9 minutes late on a 15-minute headway route!

When employers provide safe and convenient bike parking solutions, it encourages staff to choose the bike. This is not only good for the planet but also creates a healthier, happier workforce. Check out the latest sustainable solution from VConsyst (#DCEnetwork).

How could one dive into what if questions about if the real estate market dropped to prior highs before a major downturn, on a super local level? Fed data too general. Private services too short. Where is data available? Residential & neighborhood commercial primarily

As broad reaching as his dictatorial orders are, he seems much more focused on dismantling the systems for the 90% to remake for the benefit of the 1%. He relishes in instigating fear, humiliation & distrust, while promoting greed & authoritarianism for the benefit of his kind. #NotAmerican!

@co2ley.bsky.social I keep on hearing “probationary workers” being fired. What does it mean to be a probationary workers, how are they used in the career development process & what kind of trouble are we setting ourselves up for in the future by firing this employment class?

What qualifies as a “probationary worker” in the federal government? As a private resident, I’d think of them as the next generation of workers to replace those retiring or changing employment. In eliminating them, are we setting ourselves up for a world of hurt in the next 10 years?

Having to use my bathroom sink as a temporary replacement for my kitchen sink gives me a different perspective on the design of the vanity & sink. It’s much easier to use the kitchen sink to replace the bathroom sink than vice versa! In a 1-bath apt, a prep sink might be a reasonable consideration.

Luxury-quality quandary: most items of quality are more expensive than low quality items & thus often thought of as “luxury”. Items from “Luxury” brands however are not necessarily of high or even higher quality than low-cost items, yet have prices that would suggest high quality.

How can I get the #youtube algorithm to stop feeding me videos with Trump in the title or a picture of him on the thumbnail? I don’t click any of them but it’s practically half of the recommendations! I hate it!

I’ve found a few websites fronting for a contractor referral service that doesn’t even have contractors to refer to in our area! How do we signal to search engines that they are shills & are stealing data to sell? The robots are taking over our world!

It may not seem like such an uncommon phenomenon to much of the continent, but in a place where fog is a rare event, a fog advisory is almost unheard of! In the city it’s practically a non-issue because of our bubble, but beyond the central city, it’s a new experience for many!

One of my biggest pet peeves!

The #s looks very good for practically anywhere in North America! Especially awesome in expensive cities like Seattle!

@bryanbybike.bsky.social I’ve been watching your instagram videos & seeing the beating you take by car-brained viewers. We think alike so I’d like to connect with you about what we’re experiencing. DM me please

It seems that we’ve misallocated the issues of privilege & entitlement to “generations” & age rather than behavior, often from classicism.

Are ‪corporations prohibited or undesired from having a Bluesky account? They all seem to be happy with ‪corporatism‬-based Twitter & not interested in a less corporate environment we have here. I’d at least like to be able to address issues publicly while naming corps beyond just a #.

We’ve seen the decimation of other neighbor- & neighborhood-initiated events over the past handful of years, indicating a systemic issue at the city level creating conditions that kill the exact things that make a city attractive, livable & wealthy. SFFF is just another symptom of our bureaucracy.

What prevents Slack from offering end users a low cost subscription to keep their messages &/or posts? I’m also interested in a messaging system that allows me to see messages from all groups I’m on in one interface, on the app. Many people have common groups w others & switching between is a chore.

It hasn’t changed my life but it has changed a major perspective of how I think about the design of the common space, AKA Right of Way.

When I select a date/time, I want the context sensitive pop up menu to show Add to Calendar or add event. As a bonus it’d scan the rest of the page for event title, location, and details to add to the calendar item. #Apple #iOS

Has anyone done any studies or run any models about what kind of people or movement would be able to dismantle or break our federal government beyond its current recoverable limits?

It seems that as ‪corporations get more demanding, extract more from everyone/everything, & provide less value, the individual & small players are expected to be more accommodating, more generous, return multiples of what they receive & be happy playing the loser, as a ‪corporatism‬ compensation.

It’s difficult to get the bison any closer for a selfie, but I got one with my NDSU Bison hat on LOL They are quite skittish of humans. These are calves so just the little guys

I think it’s time to treat this political event as a normal day for government workers of DC to the extent they can—no paid holiday for the privilege of being in the same region as the inauguration.

Let every full depth lot have at least a duplex (narrow: up/down) + ADU by right; lots wider than 40’ allowing a 4-plex or triplex + ADU by right. Each corner lot allow for live-work & mixed-use up to 4 combination units, including ADU. This removes concentration & prevents NIMBYism as default.

I’d for someone to find the image of these parking lots when they’re surrounded by cars fighting to get in or out (what NIMBYs mean by “we’re full”) & compare it to an image with mixed-use housing on it as an example of how there’s plenty of room for PEOPLE! We need better urbanist memes!
