Hey all, my friend @estrogenjutsu.bsky.social has put together this guide for trans and queer people who are thinking about fleeing to Mexico with a ton of useful info and resources. Exodus Imperativr exodus-imperative.carrd.co

This is a concentration camp. They are describing a concentration camp.

HELL YEA

"The anarchocapitalist president of Argentina promoted a rug-pull crypto scam" is like the opposite of "real communism has never been tried." This is the hardest real libertarianism has ever been tried.

Massive, meaningful changes in governance done as a result of a ctrl-f for the word "transition." No one will ever believe how stupid this shit was.

finally my dreams of being a background character in xavier renegade angel are coming true

We're going to have to build another one of these things.

Unreal. The US government is dumping Asian and African families and children in random countries that they have no connection to. Dumping, not "deporting." Deportation implies the return of a person to their home country. This is treating people like toxic waste. www.cbsnews.com/news/us-depo...

In a phone call with The Tribune Thursday night, Rep. Trevor Lee denied ever saying Nazi flags could be displayed in schools. Here is video of Lee saying Nazi flags could be displayed in schools.

Trans people should get one free kill

Chuck Schumer: “Donald Trump promised he’d bring down prices starting DAY ONE. Well now it’s DAY 94 and your family has been vaporized in an accidental nuclear holocaust. Trump broke his promise.”

I've been able to brush off most of the erasure of trans people from government websites, but this one is REALLY getting under my skin. It's just complete revisionist history. How fucking dare they Old vs. new

That's awful. Unfortunately, doing anything about this would conflict with the vacation to Munich a bunch of Senate Dems have really been looking forward to. If we're lucky, maybe when it's over they'll grace us with a tweet saying it's concerning or a fundraiser email.

The frustrating thing about the Trump administration is there are things they’re doing now that we likely won’t find out about for years. So as much as there are things we are learning about in real-time, things that are understandably making people angry, what are we doing to find out in 10 years?

before the game

Korea's attempted coup was no less dangerous or politically protected by career opportunists and cowards than the current coup in the US was. It was shut down in 6 hours. The president was in jail within weeks. It's only impossible to resist if you are convinced it is impossible to resist.

If you're looking for an insight into how things are going at NASA since Trump's regime started attacking it, here's astronomer & NASA employee Rose Ferreira on Threads. (Her now-removed interview is archived here at the Wayback Machine and it's well worth a read: web.archive.org/web/20231206... )

Amazing article. "More recently, researchers have found that the viral outrage disseminated on social media ... actually reduces the effectiveness of collective action. The result is a media environment that keeps us in a state of ..fear and anger... instead of organizing against [our oppressors]."

i mean this so seriously. if you are transgender. please be safe. do not get caught commiting crimes. do not get caught by the state. do not sacrifice yourself, we will survive

Everything is so stupid.

why keep the SEC at all, for show?

explaining to grandma that she wont be getting her dialysis anymore bc a 20 yr old decided the program that pays for it was “cucked”

what kind of stock trades do you think your senator has lined up for tomorrow morning? is that what they're working on tonight instead of figuring out how to get those teenagers out of the servers at the treasury?

You kids gotta watch TRUE STORIES

I do not think we have a government that can or will punish Musk for all of this but I'd sure love someone to try

i think this should be factored into how states, counties, localities and hospitals respond to these executive orders. "we will investigate you if you teach DEI." okay, with what agents, specifically? with what state capacity?

Haaa

The U.S. passport application website appears to be down: pptform.state.gov

I think countries around the world should levy tariffs specifically on Tesla in response to US tariffs, as well as banning Twitter as a national security threat driving a wedge between our co-dictators may be the most effective thing they can do

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet: www.404media.co/declassified...

The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. This effort's housed by a donation-funded nonprofit, not a branch of the US government. blog.archive.org/2024/05/08/e...

What stage of fascism Is it when Ny city council threatening to murder its own citizens ?

only appropriate political response here is to demand the white house explain how its actions aren’t responsible www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

This is a concentration camp

a seemingly universal sense, from dems to journalists to pundits, that because trump campaigned on doing illegal, immoral, harmful things it's only fair that he be allowed to do at least some of the illegal, immoral, harmful things unimpeded, he's earned it, and it is melting my brain

Federal grants through NRCS, a subset of USDA, played a gigantic role in helping us restore and conserve over 20 acres of upland prairie and oak woodland. Here's a shot of our prairie during peak bloom — once covered with invasive plants. Cutting programs like this would be a huge loss. 🌱

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
