The big takeaway here is that the Russian economy is resorting to gimmicks and sleight of hand using banks to prop up the government in the middle of 21% interest. If the West keeps supporting Ukraine, the Russian house of cards should fall.

One of the problems with any peace deal is Russia's demand that western countries accept that all territories Russia keeps are recognised as sovereign Russian lands forever and all sanctions are lifted. I cannot see all EU countries accepting this, let alone Ukraine
