A lot of people demonstrating this incapacity every day through a variety of abstracting mechanisms to justify the neglect, torture, or murder of kids.

Thank you so much, @virusesimmunity.bsky.social for your insight on #LongCovidKids. Immunology is key—my daughter has developed multiple COVID-triggered autoimmune conditions, and the list keeps growing. It’s more debilitating than it seems.

Update on NIH RECOVER-TLC Neurological Agents Working Group 1- The first meeting was quite productive. All group members are renowned scientists in the field. The meeting was confidential and predecisional, but everyone was willing to learn from each other and very open to collaboration. (1/2)

Shoutout to @diatoma.bsky.social who connected to a writer on here awhile back and pitched the idea!!! 👏👏👏

"The resolved Long COVID cohort had moderately worse physical and mental health compared with those never-having-Long COVID. COVID-19 vaccination was associated with better outcomes."

If you're wondering why a lot of what's here is stuff I've conveyed, I was interviewed for this episode of SciShow. #MECFS

This was an adult longitudinal study. Children are continually being reinfected, thus increasing their risk of getting Long Covid. No matter the percentage of kids that “resolve” their Long Covid, there will be a large number that won’t. 💔💔💔 #LongCovidKids #CleantheAir

Measles is also highly contagious because it is #AIRBORNE. @who.int could mention that in one of their texts, but never do. 🤦

Funny how when a real scientist responds to an ideologue about their dated beliefs the cracks start to show re: #LongCOVID. Initially I was annoyed that Nature even legitimized such a weak response from Garner et al, but now all the world can see that the emperor has no clothes.

Breaks my heart to hear about these poor children with long covid and society is doing nothing to prevent more children getting infected 😭

#GreatestMEdicalScandal #JohnVsJonVsME This disease is a life-ruiner, but there are ways to prevent it & prevent decline. Journalists can save lives & prevent decline by *informing* about this. The medical field has failed at this, it’s time for journalism to pick up the baton.

To all my colleagues at NIH and CDC: I know that you worked so hard to get the position you had. I know how seriously you took your oath. I'm sorry that we've abandoned you and are willing to just let you go after all your training. I know we'll regret this but I'm afraid that'll come too late.

A warning RE this new study to those with severe Long Covid or ME/CFS: high doses of Vit D can make us feel MUCH worse. I haven't actually run the numbers, but it seems like I've seen more GI issues in the past few years than at any time in the previous 20 years. I've talked about long COVID with many of the families, but without clear diagnostic criteria or testing, none have been diagnosed - even after seeing GI.
