I'm always eager to read fiction in translation, particularly set in less common places. Hunkeler's Secret by Jansjorg Schneider is part of the Inspector Hunkeler series set in WWII-era Switzerland. This looks like an excellent mystery! #BookSky #CatsofBluesky @bitterlemonpress.bsky.social

I love military thrillers, especially with a sci-fi bent, and Rogue Sequence by Zac Topping checks all the boxes. This is going to be a fun read!

This is a book I've had my eye on for quite a while! 2034 by Elliot Ackerman and Admiral James Stavridis sounds like exactly the type of near-future military thriller I love. Gives me Red Storm Rising (Tom Clancy) vibes. Hoping to squeeze it in before their new book, 2054, comes out in March!

I've been wanting to read this book since I first heard about it. Rubicon by J. S. Dewes is just my kind of thought-provoking military science fiction. The description brings back memories of so many sci-fi favorites. Can't wait to read it!

Some new ARCs! Extinction by Douglas Preston and Point Zero by Seicho Matsumoto, translated by Louise Heal Kawai. Preston is perfect for operating in that Michael Crichton zone of #thriller/science run amok and this looks awesome! I love Japanese mysteries too.
