Can't look away or Had Enough - either one just seems to hit at the core of where we're at right now.

I’ll be excited when people stop calling writers who don’t use AI in their work, “fearful” and “luddite.”

What do you do?

We find ourselves here, in the midst of existence, with no memory of choosing it. Perhaps that's the only real condition of being alive - that we don't remember signing up for any of this. ->

Wherever possible please buy your books directly from authors and/or publishers. Even ebooks (then Amazon can't delete them either). We make a better cut and you get the same thing or better, plus Bezos and ilk don't get richer. Win win win.

Professor Wolff gave his thoughts and analysis on what the new Trump Presidency means and how we may react. Painful at times to take in, upsetting realities and a thoughtful message for the end. Recommended. He's gets it.

Didn't we all suspect ...

Touche.

He makes it all sound so simple. But then billionaires have been known to oversimplify the perils of life seen from the perspective of others. What about a national rail system that is more like Japan our European or China if you're that bent on improving passenger safety.

Ezra Klein nails it. "Don't Believe him".

With everyone all in a flutter about DeekSeek’s LLM, I thought it would be useful to bring a wider context to the discussion. I hope you find this helpful. This is both an audio and text version. In the audio version I add additional commentary.

Patricia Belleno and I discuss the importance of being your own first responder, along with related topics like loneliness in our hyper-connected world. Loneliness in a 24/7 socially connected world—a strange yet painfully relevant conundrum, isn't it?

When AI’s promises, fears, and strange possibilities feel overwhelming, I step back to reconnect with what inspires me. It’s a moment to ground myself and stay open—to the creativity of others, the wisdom of Mother Nature, and the surprising insights machines sometimes offer.

I’m crafting on a new post and could use your input. The working title is The AI in the Room: How Personal AI Assistants are Reshaping Human Connection The image kinda says it all … but I want to know your thoughts, worries, concerns or excitement about this topic.

Agreed.

Heard on NPR this morning. Listening to his new album. SO good. www.npr.org/2025/01/04/n...

I don't know what it is about Friday's but, I just love them. Even after some 70 years, Friday always feels like relief. The weekend is near and I have less planned. A book sitting near me is whispering kindly, 'wanna finish the chapter"? I'm reading Cory Doctorow's Little Brother/Homeland duo book.

This book has sparked fresh ideas for 2025, especially regarding how I allocate my time and energy to exploring humanism. I felt inspired to write this review and share my thoughts.

I've been thinking a lot about time lately - how we spend it, save it, and often fool ourselves about both. aiforlifelonglearners.substack.com/p/warning-th...

My current concern express in this post regarding AI. I’m an optimist by nature but I am a skeptic too. open.substack.com/pub/aiforlif...

Can’t wait to dig in. BD preso from daughter. ❤️ This will catch me up with all of Cory’s books before two more are released in early 2025.

I think the title captures the point I was hoping to make. This is today's podcast at AI for Lifelong Learners. I ask Steve Crossland for his perspective about the actual use of AI (at this point in time) on finding and selling homes for people. He adds in some insights about Austin TX real estate.

I have a post going out tomorrow on AI for Lifelong Learners. Why AI won't replace your realtor: a 33-year veteran breaks down the truth - interview with Steve Crossland. He mentions for 2024 in Austin >40.00% of the listings that departed the MLS did so as a failed sale.

I love Sundays. Read, write, listen to some radio, yes I'm an NPR listener, repeat. I let time pass without regard to its presence. All the while, I delay the inevitable confrontation with the looming "honey-do" list.

For years, I approached searching in Google haphazardly. It was a scattershot process, tossing words into the search bar, hoping the algorithm would make sense of my chaotic brain. So I wrote this post- "Create better Google search results with the help of AI"

Editing a podcast this morning for AI for Life Long Learners. This is an interview with 25 year veteran of selling and buying real estate in Austin TX. I wanted his thoughts on how AI is being used in real estate and where it's NOT working. Very pragmatic dialog. Exited to post it soon.

My Saturday morning ritual - tune in to Hearts of Space for the latest weekly episode of calm thoughtful music. I interviewed the host not long ago on AI for Lifelong Learners.https://aiforlifelonglearners.substack.com/p/slow-music-fast-tech-how-ai-cloning v4.hos.com/programs/det...
