I was talking to one of my closest friends about this, and I do think a part of it is that men are sort of taught to expect things to just happen, because their Mum (usually) does it for them. So when friendships take work, they fall off. This is, it's worth adding, on them.

Had a training session this week which used VR to simulate an auditorium so we could practice delivering a speech to a crowd, went slightly wrong when the company who license the software blocked the headsets as they refused to believe "30 of these were all being used at once."
